This compilation becomes Roger Williams' tribute album to Frank Sinatra. Those who love florid piano playing will thrill to Williams' lush and ornate readings of Sinatra trademark tunes like "Strangers In the Night," "None But the Lonely Heart," "All the Way," "Call Me Irresponsible," "Young at Heart" and "I'll Be Seeing You." Taken from various albums, the orchestration on these tunes is big and full, in the grand Williams tradition. But why isn't "My Way," the most obvious of Sinatra tunes, on here? Simple -- Williams never recorded it, assiduously avoiding the trap of comparison, even on an instrumental version of the classic. As tribute albums go, this one's a keeper. ~ Cub Koda
