I loved this book; intriguing ideas about human behavior & personalities; became interested by title and voice excerpt I heard. Highly recommend reading to help one understand challenging individuals in life.

After reading many books trying to understand a manipulative man I was involved with, I read this book and found it one of the most easy to read and understand. It helped understand the behavior of some of the most hard to understand people I have known. Being a person who has always believed in counseling, I found it quite fascinating to find counseling does not fix this condition. For a person involved with a possible sociopath this is a recommended read.

  Great Insight

I recommend this book to anyone who thinks they may have a sociopath in their lives. It gives an insightful glimpse into the mind of the sociopath and their relationship to the world around them. It will help you to better understand the motives driving the sociopath you know.

It is focused on understanding and illuminating the sociopath - not on advice on how to deal with one. It is a great place to start for research on sociopathy.

  Title is appropriate

It hit the nail on the head when exposing sociopathic behavior. If I had read this before my last relationship, I could have saved myself a lot of grief and confusion. The games these people play are scary, and it gives some pointers on how to identify someone who is a sociopath, so you can distance yourself from them. I liked the book, and would recommend it.

Must read for anyone whose been victimized by sociopath
Review created: 05/11/07

This book is great in its description of the abuse of those who can be considered sociopaths. For the first time, I was able to put a handle on all those scary souls that can enter our lives...from possibly a parent or two, to a spouse, employer and others along the way.
