This has to be one of the best children's movies ever! A combination of animation and real life acting,with wonderful music--it wins your heart.The acting is wonderful.When my 2 year old granddaughter comes in to the house, the first thing we have to do is watch this movie. She climbs up in my lap and we watch it together. Can't get better than that!

) it was cute and touching. we had rented this years ago when our son was young. out of the blue my husband asked me to find this movie and buy it. it is in excellent shape and was good and holsome to watch, considering our son is on his own & we are in 50's ! we so enjoyed it.

So dear to my heart, was a movie I saw as a child. I often though of the movie, and wanted my grandauthers to see it ,as to me its a classic.We had a great time watching it to gether, as their 9 and 6 . They LOVED it .I had looked for the movie for years, and found on E-BAY .THANK YOU e-bay

While looking around on eBay, a friend of mine came across this movie and read the description. Thinking that my 5-year-old might enjoy it, she forwarded the info to me. I had never even heard of So Dear To My Heart, but with the cast and description, I proceeded to bid on it right away.
We are SO pleased with this movie. My son goes around pretending that his baby brother is Danny, the little black ram lamb. ;) If you're interested in a movie which depicts the values of respect and hard work, as well as faith in God, this is the show for you!! This truly is enjoyment for the whole family.

When I was just a little person, I saw this movie in a theater and fell in love with it. In 1992 I purchased 2 of these at Wal-Mart, so one day I could share with my "hoped for" grandchildren. In 1996 when I became a gramma, I gave one copy to my daughter for her little ones.... present and future. Then I loaned the other video to a friend for her little ones to watch and never received it back. Now that my son also has children, I wanted the video for his children, now 4+ and 2+, and I was delighted to find it on eBay. They will now have the fun of a clean, fun and happy experience, which is how movies for children USED to be made!!!
I highly recommend this movie to any grandparents or parents for their children. It is showing a simpler, yet more classic and lovely way of life for children, what so many children today are missing, who think that everything in life is instant.... this film has character and love and family fun, as well as events needing understanding and work to overcome.
