In hiding from her jealous and wicked stepmother, the fair Snow White takes refuge with a band of kind-hearted, hard-working dwarves: Bashful, Sneezy, Sleepy, Happy, Grumpy, Dopey and Doc. Eventually the vain queen finds Snow White and tricks her into eating a poisoned apple. Luckily, a wandering prince comes to her rescue, but can he break the evil queen's spell? Based on the Brothers Grimm fairy tale, SNOW WHITE AND THE SEVEN DWARFS was initially thought a crazy idea for a feature film by those at Walt Disney. However, its lush production and charming characters proved otherwise. Standing the test of time since its release in 1937, the film has entranced audiences for decades, teaching them to never be vain and always whistle while they work.

I love the movie I have it for myself bought it for my daughter when it was re-released. since that time i have a niece and she loves mine. bought this under the misrepresentation that it wasa authentic /origional new and sealed. 1st clue not sealed like "new" disney dvd's rather (can tell the diffrence in the plastic sleave and they way they are wrapped and sealed) #2. the art work on the DVD's itself are a poor laser copy not vibrant very dull (compared to all my other origional Disney dvd's 100% diffrence in look and feel. #3 when you hold other dvd's (disney) up to the light generally you should not be able to see through the back to the front and be able to read the label. #4 take a magnifer look on the back in the center of dvd all around all the disney dvd they have certain markings and laser type bar codeing (yours did not) clear copy. #5 biggest give away very visable pink/ red type ink part way around the 1st dvd disc (not a flaw) just a mistake the copier made. even though it is absolutely 100% a burned copy it is a good one plays very well. But you should be paying for a authentic origional as and when asked prior to buying. do not like pirating or stealing did not know i was buying this obviously others did not either (see other comments and feedback) seller should beware as someone may just turn them in if more fakes are sold Review ID: 10000000001355383 Was this review helpful? Walt Disney actually wanted to make Alice in Wonderland first - it was his favorite story - but he was persuaded to do Snow White. The backers knew it would be the most commercial of the two. They were right and so much more! Not only was this a big commercial success it started the studio that would create classics of animation loved by kids and adults all over the world. Everyone knows the story of Snow White and her wicked stepmother. How Snow ran away and lived with the 7 dwarfs and dreamed of her prince. How she was put under a spel by her wicked stepmother who disguised herself as an old woman who gives Snow a red apple. And how her prince did come for her and everyone lived happily ever after. This 2 disc dvd edition has making of featurette, Barbra Streisand video, bonus animated shorts, a Dopey interactive game, deleted scenes, publicity shots, storyboard to film comparison and tons more! Really worth it, but be aware that this is a retired video which has been put in the Disney vault. That means you will not find it in stores and they will probably be more expensive than retail - although you can find it for retail or less here on Ebay. The dvd appears to be a copy, it was NOT factory sealed, looked like she shrink wrapped the case herself and the dvd print appeared to by photo copied. Hard to get in touch with the seller and it took over two weeks to get the dvd, had to threaten to file a dispute before she would respond to my requests. I would not recommend this seller if you're looking for an authentic Disney product. I will say that the copy isn't too bad but I wouldn't have paid $40 for a copy!
