Snow White: A Tale of Terror (DVD, 2002)

I loved this movie. It is the grown up tale for Snow White. I fell in love with the movies structure of characters and plot. It will keep you interested through out the whole movie. It has a bit of love, magic, and deception in it. It kinda got gross in some areas but not to bad. If you loved the tale as a child then you will love this one.

I adore Weaver, and she does not disappoint in this movie. If you like horror movies and enjoy the medieval theme, you wont' leave disappointed in this movie. I was surprised by how good it actually was.

This is a pretty nice twist on the traditional fairy tale, it is very well done. While there are no dwarves, or woodsman, or singing birds and forest animals, it is pretty much what the "true story" would've been before it was "fairy-taled" for children's books.

Beware this isnt your mother's version of Snow White. That being said, it's an awesome film with great actors. Who doesnt love Sigourney Weaver? It's defintely darker than the Disney fairy tale but I love that they made a true film (so to speak) that the original authors brought to us in their books. Well made for a low budget.

I love this movie. This Version of Snow White sticks more to the Grimms version rathar than the Disney Version. Twisted and would scare you back into do good and following your parent's wishes like the original folk tales were meant to do :D If you don't buy it, at least rent it!

I love this movie because it has a love plot in the movie but at the same time its something that a guy would watch too.

I Love the way the fairy tale has been turned into a horror story. the way the actors capture the story line. I would not recomend this for young children as it might take away their view of the disney version.

when i first saw this movie i thought it was a little scary but it's not the original they just took out all the snuggly parts and created a whole new fairy tale with a gotnic version of this video.

My husband and I loved this movie. Anyone's who's read a Grimm Brothers tale can tell you they are, well...grim. Those who appreciate authenticity will find it nice to see nary a hint of Disney in this version which takes a fresh look at the classic story of Ms. White, while still keeping with the fiendish facets of the original. Weaver is excellent as a surprisingly sympathetic stepmother before her alliance with the dark side, and prince charming is made accessibly ordinary. The female characters shine - score one for the feminists - while guys will like the gore. The scenery and cinematography is also impressively Grimm-esque.

My wife saw this movie on tv and wanted it. I bought it for her on ebay, great price, friendly seller. Definately not your typical fairytale! Sam Neil is excellent, as was sigourney weaver. A dark scary version, well worth buying and watching more than once!

this was an excellent movie withsome terrific actors i thought it was a great version of snow white the storyline was fantastic i reallly liked how the story explained why the wicked stepmother hated snow white and how she was a mad woman with no remorse
