Most peeople think of simply irresistable- but this recording shows wjaat a great singer this guy was- Really fun, especially the first 3 songs which blend together like a medley.
This is not your sisters Robert Palmer- funky and fun, not what you would expect.

  Robert Palmer - 1970s
Review created: 02/19/07

I hadn't heard this music since the 70s. Great CD with a mix of sound akin to Little Feat, Eric Clapton, the Neville Brothers and good old bluesy southern rock.

Robert Palmer - Sneakin' Sally Through The Alley

This was Robert Palmer at his best before he went "Pop" with all the Crush Groove stuff like Addicted To Love ,etc.
It is pure R&B with Lowell George as a contributing artist. I had an old cassette recorded from the radio in the early 70's & was so pleased to find it had been reissued in CD format (probably after he died).
Try it , you'll like it !!

  Funky Blues from Robert Palmer
Review created: 02/05/07

This is a vintage album, one of Robert Palmer's first. The CD starts with a Lowell George (from Little Feat) classic, Sailin' Shoes. It's a very funky version that ROCKS. I bought the CD for this version of Sailin' Shoes and now I've fell in love with the other songs. If you like the funky sound of 70's rock and roll, you'll love this album. I give this album two thumbs up.
