The Snake Pit (DVD, 2004)

"The Snake Pit" is a very well acted, dramatic, and sometimes disturbing story of a young woman's stay in an overcrowded 1940's mental institution. Being filmed in b&w makes the hospital seem even more dreary and depressing. It's based on a novel by Mary Jane Ward, who actually was a patient in a mental institution in the 1940's. I HIGHLY reccomend this movie. Especially to anyone who likes movies about people with mental disorders

I purchased it because I was told that I might find it interesting. I did and even though by todays standards the plot was not very complex and the happy ending was just that a happy ending, the movie is still wonderful and entertaining. I guess that I was expecting it to be a little more frightening and upsetting, but there is something very appealing to the presentation of a good older film. I am very happy to have it and will want to view it again!

Recieved the dvd in excellent condition, shipped in a speedy fashion. Would do business with this seller again.
