Smarty Pants (Wii, 2007)

I bought this for my 10 year old daughter because it looked like fun and I found it on ebay pretty reasonably. Well I have to say, I got a heck of a deal!!! Not only do her, her friends, my nephew, and his friends love it, but so do all of us adults. lol Its a cool trivia game (with some fun twists and turns lol) where the questions are based on the age of the person being asked so its a little challenging but fun for everyone. There also some other fun things added to the game but Ill let you find that out on your own. lol Id pay $40 for this game easy and I got it for much cheaper than that on ebay. This is a MUST for your Wii game collection. I recommend it for anyone ages 5 and up.

I love trivia games, and this one is no exception. Its so diverse for all ages and all interests. I deciced to buy the game because I thouhgt it would be a great family game, and it is perfect!

My sister (who is not a video game expert by any stretch of the imagination)sent this to us as a Christmas gift. I was less than optimistic that this would be a decent game.

After we played the other games we received that day(mega hit titles like Resistance: Fall of Man, Unchartered-Drake's Fortune, Guitar Hero III, Ratchet and Clank Future Tools of Destruction, and Super Mario Galaxy) we decided to at least see what this game was like. What a surprise! This is the only game of all those I listed above that my son and I actualy played together. And we had a wonderful time.

The questions are great and it's well designed. It incorporates elements of classic Nintendo goofiness (like whacky minigames to set the value of a question). My son, who's 12, excelled at questions about video game characters and current celebrities while I was entertained and answered questions about science and history. It worked for both of us very well (part of the set-up is to input your age, questions are then based on knowledge of your individual era.)

A game can be played in as little as 10 minutes. So if you're a parent that would like to join in the fun and spend some time with your child - doing something they love to do (play video games)...well, this game is for you.

It is a fun game that combines wheel of fortune with Jeopardy, my wife and I love to play it together.

I was expecting a little more. The game has the general tenant of trivia but it makes you do weird things to keep the clock going during mutli player which kind of distracts you from trying to think about the question. It is definitely made for a multi player game as it is not real fun or interesting to play alone and you can only use a guest account on the one player mode. The positive aspect is that the questions take into consideration your age which extrapolates questions appropriate to the player. Overall, I rate it tough based on the opportunity for it to have been a better program.

We have had so much fun with this game. I would recommend selecting the option of not showing the correct answers as the questions do recycle after awhile. We have played for hours (often with sore arms from "raising our hands" the next day. Great game and geared for all ages of the family.

I WAS LOOKING FOR A FUN GAME FOR MY WII AND BY THE REVIEWS I READ IT LOOKED LIKE A IT WAS WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS AND THE PRICE WAS RIGHT.

Positive:The game is set up like wheel of fortune to get your category. There are about 5 or 6 different subjects. Great game for parties or family get-togethers.
Negative:Some questions are more for people over 20. Younger generations may not know a lot of the answers.
Overall great, easy, fun game if you don't want so much physical interaction & want more brain activity!

Smarty Pants is a trivia game with a few cute little twists to it. The questions range from very easy to moderately hard. It is somewhat comparable to Trivial Pursuit in terms of the variety of questions (there are eight topics: Science, Art, Books, Entertainment, People & Places, Sports, Fashion, and Games). You can play this game solo, competitively or cooperatively. What makes this game different is the "cute little twists". Do not think you will just be sitting around answering questions all day. Oh No! There is movement involved. Questions are selected by spinning a wheel. You have to use the Wii Remote to spin the wheel and you have the ability to "nudge the wheel" to land on the desired space. There are helper cards you can play that will improve your chances on answering more questions. You may play the card when indicated, but it does not stop there. In order to take advantage of that card, you may have to play tug-of-war (yes I said "tug-of-war") against your opponent to use the card, or you may have to dance your way to bonus points opportunities, literally. In cooperative mode, while one person answers a question, you may have to jump, dance, wave, or shake, to extend the time on that question. Graphics are nothing to brag about, but do you expect graphics in a trivia game anyway? The game can get a little repetitive in terms of the routine, but so far, I have not seen any repeated questions and I and/or my wife have played it via a rental about 10 to 12 times over the past 4 to 5 days. In any case, I would recommend this game for trivia buffs, especially those with active school-aged children that simply hate to just sit around. This game is appropriately rated "E" (for Everyone). Smarty Pants promotes activity and take good advantage of the Wii Remote abilities. It is easy enough for kids and the non-savvy video game player. I would recommend an average spend of $35-40 (including shipping).

the game is actually pretty neat.....but my husband and i agreed that the wii has horrible graphics for their games. questions are very good and very up to date.....our 5 yr old daughter even played at her own level and we were impressed....we'll see how her two younger sisters play in a few yrs. :)

We like it b/c it is fun and you can set a age and the questions will go by your age group.Very reasonable price.

I am completely amazed by this game! My daughter (9) Loves this game. I have a WHOLE lot to learn - according to the game (lol). The questions are really neat & my daughter & her bf has a GREAT time playing. The questions are a variety from fashion to entertainment & so you can not chose just one category. I highly recommend for some laughter.

This is a fun game that the whole family can play. My wife and I play right along with our 11 year old son. He's actually beat me a couple times.

The seller was great. The game was not as good. I thought it would be more fun but it's pretty hard unless you know a lot about stuff.

The questions on this game are tough, but it is a fun game to play with friends and family. I like that it has questions for all age levels and makes the questions harder based on your ability to answer given questions.

An all around family fun game! It provides questions based on the age of each player so nobody has an advantage. I gave this a "Good" rating instead of an "Excellent" as it is most fun with other people playing, singe player is not much fun. A great party game!

I love it its so much fun. It a good family game. Very good for big age range. The price was great a lot better than the high price of the other games out there. All my family and friends that have came over and played love it and are going to get one.

I really do not want to leave a long winded comment on this Wii game. Everytime I try to bypass this review section however the program will not let me. This is very frustrating. The game is too new to rate its true abilities as stated.

I bought this game to add variety to family game night. The trivia is educational, the competition is exciting, and we all have fun. I like that it also has a solo mode to brush up with.

I am 30 years old and have learned from this game. It is a fun family game that any age can play and learn from. It is fun to play against your other family members, or friends. It makes a great party game.
