Great Training Aid

This is a very helpful book. I am a novice horse owner and I got "saddled" with a basically unsuitable horse - a 4 year old mare that had minimal training. However, I like the horse and have decided to work with her through natural horsemanship techniques. I take lessons with a trainer who is able to show me what to do, but can't really explain WHY it works. This book does, and it allows me to extrapolate from what I know and use the logic of the methods to get my horse to do almost anything I want her to do, if I'm willing to take the time and effort. I already knew that what I am doing works because I could see the results in my horse, but I'm one of those people that likes to understand WHY it works and know the principles underlying what I do. This book helped me greatly in that respect, and provided some additional techniques that my trainer had not shown me.
