I've read ALL Barbara Kingsolver's published works. Love them for their plot, characters and scientific information. I consider her my favorite living fiction writer. I loved Kingsolver's nonfiction work Small Wonder most of all. One can dip in and out of these essays, reading in any order. I found the story about her daughter and the chickens endearing! Although I've read at least 50 books since this one, I still remember several of these passages. Kingsolver just gets better as she continues to write!
