The children who acted in this movie make the whole movie. What wonderful actors who never acted before. They were picked off the streets of Mumbi! I have watched this movie maybe 20+ times since I first rented it on TV pay per view. Wonderful wonderful movie. All the actors as a whole should have won a Oscar for the unbeliveable movie they made. Peter Boyle is a genious. One of the top 5 movies I ever seen. And I thought I wouldn t even like it. All the fuss about it? Not enough fuss was made. LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The movie is very unique and well done (especially since it was made over seas and low budget). It's very eye opening to the lifestyles of those in other countries. Good acting, good story, and a unique angle make for a pretty good movie. (I HIGHLY recommend the book though!)

This is a great movie purchase. You will watch it over and over again with your family and friends just as we do. It is one of the best "feel good" movies to be released in the past few years. This movie tells the story of how an unlikely underdog can persevere through horrific trials and come out on top.

Have seen this movie a few times before buy it on eBay here. It is one great movie! Danny Boyle the director, has a wonderful way of making great movies not only story wise, action wise, the music, and just how he fuse this all together and makes it a visually stimulating as well. IDK how to explain it w/o you watching his work in action yourself! Awesome movie once again!

The review scuttlebutt about "Slumdog Millionaire" was that it was about an east Indian who wins the jackpot. With this description, it's hard to care about seeing this movie or not. Yes, the slumdog wins the jackpot (and that's not a spoiler) but it's HOW he wins it that makes this film important. The Slumdog wins the jackpot by a string of "bizarrely possible" coincidences in his destitute life as an orphan in the streets of India. Through going back and forth between the Slumdog's appearance on the Millionaire show and flashbacks into his childhood, we see the full scope of how intolerable and cruel their daily lives are. I won't say more because that WOULD be a spoiler, but this film is unique and compelling. It has a happy ending, too.

Very boaring, dry movie. Friend recommended it, we consider it a waste of money. Don't have any idea how it is getting the rateing it has.

Although slightly skeptical when I heard about this movie, I decided to watch and decide for myself. It immediately moved into my Top Three favorite movies. One of the only movies I have seen that I wanted to restart as soon as the awesome credits were over. I decided to buy it because it was one of the most well-done, thought-provoking movies I had seen. It made me laugh hard, cry, and want to dance to the incredible Indian soundtrack. A "must watch."

Easily worth the money to see or buy. India at its best and worst, and a place that needs to be experienced. This movie sets the scene and carries it to an end that we all could hope for. Yep. I'm a fan !! See this movie and then take that step and go there.

This movie blew me away! So many set backs, so many hardships yet he learned something from all of them which got him in the chair.
This movie released almost every emotion I had stored up in my body. A great story!

I purchased Slumdog DVD since it was a must-see movie and I was really late to see it !! The DVD has great extra features and truly is an award winning movie that you "must-see" . I also reccommend watching it twice !! There is so much to take in. I also enjoyed using the subtitles!!

This movie is the best ever. I really loved it a lot and i enjoyed the well acting and the suspense.

Wanted to see the movie and noticed it was $30 at K-Mart - got it new and un-opened on eBay for $7.02 with shipping and less a 15% discount. Movie arrived quickly and in perfect condition and enjoying my bargain.

the movie is both entertaining, emotional, and has a sense of humor as well. It is well acted by everyone in the film. It is uplifting and makes you think about it well after the film is over. I recommend it to anyone who wants to see a movie that is unique and haunting. thumbs way up!

One terrific movie!! I was a little lost in the beginning as I hadn't anticipated this movie being quite so deep. Once the light came on inside my pea-sized brain, I was totally absorbed.

What more can you say about a movie that swept the board at the Oscars? Truly a moving and relevant work that is touching on every level. I have watched it 3 times and enjoyed every time. A movie for today and always.

I saw this movie in the theater and left thinking 2 things.

1) it MUST be nominated for an Oscar and

2) I must have this movie when it comes out on DVD

Wonderful film!! I saw it once and decided it was a must-have for my personal collection!!!! The movie was well written, the plot moved along well and the directors and writers did a beautiful job creating characters that you loved throughout the entire film. 10 out of 10 in my opinion! The ending scene is amazing as well!
