This is a different't kind of movie. It is a Horror movie but at the same time it is also a comedy at least I thought so. It is about it aliens trying trying to take over, and they have to enter the human body through the mouth to be able to do so, but anyway the people who are not taken over by what are suppose to be alien creatures are fighting to stay alive, and they have to try,and kill the main Slither Alien which is the first guy thats body was invaded. The Slither creatures look like big oversized slithering tongues in my opinion that is what they look like. I believe most people will enjoy this movie, and I recommend it highly for anyone who enjoys horrors but also likes a good laugh every now, and then. I am into collection Horror Movie and I have this one in my collection, and I give this movie 1 and 1/2 thumbs up.

Chock full of great gross out gore, and hilarious sight and word gags, this movie delivers the good. It is movies like this that really got me into horror, and it is movies like this that will keep me coming back. It is funny and fun and great to watch alone, or with a huge group of drunken friends.

Here's a gooey, hilarious, creepy horror film for the whole mutant cannibal family. Michael Rooker (HENRY: PORTRAIT OF A SERIAL KILLER) stars as Grant, a big bald guy from a small southern town who gets possessed by a meat-hungry parasite worm creature from space. Even under the alien influence he still loves his wife, Starla (Elizabeth Banks), but she's alarmed at his weird new habits, such as consuming all the local wildlife. The sheriff in town (Nathan Fillion) investigates. He still carries a torch for Starla from when they were kids, but once the squirming, slithering, and cannibalism begin in earnest, it becomes clear that this is no time for romance. SLITHER's combination of interesting characters, deadpan humor, gore aplenty, and genuine scares earns it a place alongside cult classics like RE-ANIMATOR and the various LIVING DEAD and EVIL DEAD films. Director/writer James Gunn wrote 2004's DAWN OF THE DEAD before this, and it's abundantly clear where his loyalties lie: SLITHER aims its acid-dripping, brain-sucking tongue right into the hearts of horror fans. Heads explode, monsters squiggle into gaping mouths, tentacles wrap around Banks's negligee-clad body, and the sheriff takes it all in his stride. There's even a twisted intergalactic love story somewhere in the chaos, as well as hordes of in-jokes for the fans.

One of the best Gross out gore-fest cult movies I have seen in a long time. During deer hunting season in the small town of Wheelsy, a meteor falls on the woods with an egg of alien worm. Along the night, the local Starla Gran (Elizabeth Grant) refuses to have sex with her husband Grant Grant (Michael Rooker) and the upset man goes to a bar to have some drinks. He meets his acquaintance Brenda Gutierrez (Brenda James), the younger sister of his former girlfriend, who has a crush on him, and they go to the woods, but Grant does not have sex with her. He sees the weird egg on the grass, and when he touches it, the egg releases a sort of sparrow with an alien parasite that dominates Grant's brain. Along the next days, Grant has an insatiable hunger for meat, and while his hostage body is transforming, he builds a nest of slugs in his cellar. Grant infects Brenda and the slugs attack the human beings in Wheelsy, possessing their bodies. Starla, the local sheriff Bill Pardy (Nathan Fillion) and the survival Kylie Strutemyer (Tania Saulnier) try to find a way to stop Grant, the leader of a new breed of starving zombies.

It's rare nowadays that you will find a film labeled "horror" and not have it involve Satan, creepy phone calls, or senseless, mindless killing and gore. This movie transcends all those around it. Slither, while comprised of fantastic special effects, is a movie that can hold its own. It's easy to understand, it's entertaining, and it doesn't make you uncomfortable when you watch it (at least not as long as Wolf Creek or The Hills Have Eyes did). In fact I feel ashamed for naming those other two films in the same review as Slither. Those movies were awful and were nothing like Slither in any way, apart from the genre name "horror". It is comforting to know that while the premise of the movie may not be entirely original (space creatures arrive on Earth and wreak havoc everywhere they go), it is still fresh and fun to watch, over and over again.

This movie reminds me of Eight Legged Freaks. A gross, corky, funny, and horror all bashed into one. Gross parts in the movie are almost always countered with a joke of some kind. The storyline for the movie is a little unbelievable but this movie makes a good time.

The recently released DVD "Slither" was pretty gruesome - in a good way! While most movies rely on Digital CGI or large amounts of "green screen" to inject alternate viewings images and/or to save on money, Slither brought horror effects back to the great days of "Alien", John Carpenter's "The Thing" and the "Re-Animator" series. Horribly believable!

The plot is nothing out of the ordinary, injecting a couple different horror and science-fiction genres into it including reanimated Zombies and slithering alien parasites looking for a host. Slither was a really good movie, between an A rated and B rated - leaning towards an A. A good amount of comedy was also added to the Slither stew, using a great cast of characters to endure the chaos. There are some pretty funny moments, minus the gag reel of coarse. The gag reel isn't usually funny to anyone outside of the set. There are tons of extras that are quite entertaining, plus its always good to listen to why the director cut specific scenes. All in all, slither is a pretty good flick for the horror fan, but no young ones allowed on this one. Way too many gruesome scenes. Tons of blood and gore. Enjoy!

  An Instant Cult Classic!!!

Although the plot feels like it has been done before, 'Slither' stills feels original in the fact that it has never been done like this. Aliens take over but in the most grotesque way imaginable. WARNING!!! You may want to have an empty stomach before watching because the effects are done really well and are quite disturbing at times. The cast does a solid job but Nathan Fillion steals the show with his quick one-liners and humorous attitude. Any horror or alien invasion fan should enjoy this movie. Good enough to buy but you should probably check it out first. Must see film. 4/5
