Sleeping Beauty, Wide-eyed Reader Exciting to the end!

The author has you hooked from the very first chapter! However, I could not understand why Phillip Margolin revealed the killer so early in the story, but it becomes completely clear in the end! With every twist and turn of the story, you are drawn into his web, asking more questions than answering, as the reader you are never sure where he is leading you. The characters come to life, however Margolins appears to be more comfortable with the legal and raw terror aspect of the story than the intimate emotions of the characters. If you enjoy legal thrillers and murder mysteries, this is a good read, but beware, it is not easy to put down once you start!

  First Phillip book
Review created: 05/25/09

This was the first book written by Phillip Margolin I have read and as soon as I finished I was in search of more. He is a great author who knows how to weave tales of deciet, lies, and terror in a way that pulls you in and won't let you go until the very end. Even then I found myself wondering what became of these characters after the end of the story. It is a remarkable gift for an author to be able to make fiction seem so real in the readers eyes.

I decided to buy this book because I had recently read "Ties That Bind" by Phillip Margolin and liked it a lot. "Sleeping Beauty" did not dissapoint either. It was faced paced and had a number of twists and turns that kept my interest. A great read that has very few slow spots.

A great book. I like Phillip Margolin because you cannot figure out "whodunit" until the end of the book.
