Album Notes
Skid Row: Sebastian Bach (vocals); Dave "The Snake" Sabo, Scotti Hill (guitar); Rachel Bolan (bass); Rob Affuso (drums, percussion).
Recorded at New River Studios, Fort Lauderdale, Florida and Scream Studios, Studio City, California.
Skid Row took the strategically contrived, super-polished sonics of their self-titled debut and dirtied things up for the more fitting, grittier direction of their second full-length album, 1991's SLAVE TO THE GRIND. SLAVE has the historical distinction of being the first metal album to debut at #1 on the Billboard album chart and remains the crown jewel of the band's catalog.

Editorial Reviews
3 Stars - Good ..would have been 4 Stars on sonics alone (docked a star for misoginistic Get the F*** Out). ...kick-in-the-groin riffing and guitars swooping out of feedback skies..
Rolling Stone (08/22/1991)

..the band makes its tough stance real..
Entertainment Weekly (06/21/1991)
