The Six Wives of Henry VIII

I saw this miniseries back on the original broadcast in 1970. I found it to be an interesting portrayal of a very interesting period of history. Henry was famous for lopping off his wives' heads, but in reality he had only two of them beheaded, I believe one of them for treason and the other for adultery.
The characterizations are intriguing, even if some of the production values are somewhat dated. Occasional shadows of boom mics and studio rigging can be seen, and the sound mix is a little uneven, (too loud when Henry is in full rage mode, too quiet immediately following such.)
This was a nostalgic purchase for me, and my boyfriend is quite the anglophile, so we're both enjoying them immensely. I originally viewed this in conjuction with Elizabeth I, with Glenda Jackson in the title role. Also well worth watching for anyone interested in British history.
