Six Pack (DVD, 2006)

I love the movie and the Kenny Rogers he is so good in this movie. My husband watched it over and over again when we rented it so we decided to buy it to save money and time from going to the video store to rent it. I have no dislikes to the movie or the people in it.

this is one of the best race car movies ever made. good oh oldschool nascar stile racing with a all star cast. i loved to see racing and all the fun this movie brings. thank you,123ashba

This is a six-pack I recommend geting high on. Cute movie for all ages.
I secretly wondered if Kenny Rodgers wore a toupee, 'cause these kids had him pulling his hair out at every turn.
In the end everything turned out just great for all.

I bought this DVD for my girlfriend's birthday. She enjoys family type movies with kids and happy endings. Kenny Rogers (in his first movie) is a washed up race car driver trying to make a comeback. He accidently comes across 6 orphans looking for a way out of the fix they are in. They reluctantly join up.
I've been looking for a DVD of this movie for a loooooong time, since the VHS tape is getting more blurred per play. Ebay had it new and cheap. The only thing I dislike about the movie is that the young (and HOT) Diane Lane is now grown up in real life. This movie is now 26 years old. Erin Gray was also hot then too.

This movie is a good family movie. While the language can be a bit coarse (a few profanities from some characters, including kids) it is typical for the time the movie was made.
The plot is fairly predictable, and the acting is ok, but it's a family movie that the kids will enjoy and the adults can also sit through without getting extremely bored.
I found it interesting to watch the old stock cars and the names that were mentioned in the race, many of them very prominent in the racing circles today.
If you are an old stock car racing fan, a Kenny Rogers fan, or just looking for a decent family movie to watch don't look this over. It is entertaining and a good flashback to those of us that remember watching it and singing 'big rock candy mountain' as a kid.

I caught this one as a kid and it started me down the path to many Southern-fried classics such as "Cannonball Run", "Smokey and the Bandit", "Any Which Way But Loose"...Hell, even "8 seconds."

You know that when Kenny Rogers gets billed over Diane Lane you've got a winner. Kenny sloshes his way through this one like a two-faced, one trick pony on three legs, and it's something to behold. This movie could have been a trainwreck, but with a cast of memorable misfit kids with Diane Lane and Anthony Michael Hall (pre Rusty Griswold) leading the way, "Silver Spoons" Erin Gray in top hotness, and Terry Kiser (Bernie in "Weekend at Bernies") as the arrogant antagonist it's a winner. If you like NASCAR, cussin' and a good ole' soundtrack, here's a family film for you and yours. I give it a 7 out of 10.

To me this movie is a movie to just sit back and watch.It has its funny parts and again it has its serious parts.I just enjoyed the movie,the kids turned out to be a big help to Roger Miller,when Roger thought that they were just a group of worthless kids,every one of the kids took a position in the race,even the little one.Im glad that this movie came out on dvd.

This is a down home good old fashion fun. We love Kenny Rogers and his down to earth personallity. The characters of the children we well played and even to see them in other movies as they got older. It also helps to like auto racing. Good combinaiton.

I bought 'Six Pack' for a Christmas present for my younger son.
I rated it Excellent since I, myself really like it and my son (30 yrs old now) raves about the copy we have that was recorded from TV about 10 yrs ago.
He works on his car(s) to take to competitive shows.
The story line is great.
The acting is pretty good considering the ages of the "pit crew".
I just know our son will be delighted to recieve for Christmas 2008.

I've been trying to find this movie in the stores and could't find it so I tryed the EBay and found it. I'm thankful for Ebay. It seam to me that ebay has almost everything on it all you have to do is find it.

I bought it for my fiance because he's been looking for it for a long time now!! He seems to enjoy it...I haven't had a chance to watch it at all, but its nice to be able to find things you have been looking for, for a while now and actually enjoy it

This movie I really like. I saw it on television many years ago and wanted to own the movie. It is a great movie.

Watched this movie many years ago when my kids were young. They are adults now and we all love this movie. It is now time for the 6 grandkids to watch it. So far 1 has watched it, and he loves it!

Kenny Rogers and Diane Lane are ok but to me its all about the racing...............................

Excellent Movie for the Young & Old. A few curse words in it. But all in all. This movie tends to be very realistic, in it's ways. Makes You see how Kids can Think! Finally got it on DVD. Looks far better than My Old VHS Tape!

This movie has been in the family a long time, we are avid dirt track racers and fans and believe this is a great family movie that shows the aspects of dirt racing and how it grew into a world wide sport of NASCAR!! :)

came out in on the big screen. cant count the number of times i seen
this movie.bought it on vhs. just had to have it on dvd.

I got this movie because my husband is a country buff and he remembered it as a kid and wanted to watch it again. It was a cute movie with alot more stars in it then I thought there would be. I would have rather rented it because I dont think I will watch it again and I KNOW my kids wont watch it again (too cheesy for them. But overall an okay movie.

I had the movie on VHS and it is getting old. I wanted it on DVD and still do. It is a good movie for a family to see.
