The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants (DVD, 2005)

Sisterhood is a great story about the friendship of four girls and their different journeys through life. I decided to buy the movie after reading the three book series. The movie, unlike others made from books, holds up to the standards set fourth by the original author. During the movie I laughed and I cried. I definitely enjoyed it would recommend it to all.

Brilliant Movie and what a tear jerker Boo-hoo...I watched this movie with my teenage daughter and WOW it's great. Four friends go to thrift store and all try on these jeans and to there surprise the jeans fit all four girls so they buy the jeans. They all seperate for summer holidays and each girl has a story to tell, they put notes on the pants and post them to each other until they all meet again at the end of summer....Great idea eh? well you get to watch each girl and her story and that's all I can say the rest is just FANTASTIC !!!! Get your hankies ready and it's a great movie for Mum and daughter to watch (teens) We also have the audio books to listen to in the car while driving. Can't wait for next movie :-)

I LOVED THIS MOVIE!!! LOOKING FORWARD TO THE SEQUEL NEXT MONTH! IT WAS A TOUCHING STORY ABOUT FRIENDSHIP THAT DIDN'T MAKE ME GAG. MOREOVER, THE ACTING WAS FIRST RATE. I RECOMMENDED THIS TO ALL MY H.S. FRIENDS OF OVER 30 YEARS!

I loved this movie! I thought it was really awesome, all the cast memebers were great and really put together well. I like a lot of the actresses in this movie, especially Blake Lively. I think it's a great flick to see with your friends and it really teaches that no matter what you and your friends may go through, you'll always find some way to keep close to one another. It also displays a great show of loyalty between friends that eventually they're more than just that, like family, like sisters. :-)

America Ferrera is superb in this movie of friendships between teenage girls. Great family movie, touching and entertaining. I watched it with my teenage grandaughter and we both loved it!

This movie is a heartfelt movie about a group of friends who are seperated for the summer, but share a pair of "lucky" jeans. It is emotional and uplifting, but with a great ending! A very well written plot! Great movie for a girls night out!

I was the first to think I'd hate this movie, for sure. But, I watched it and was pleasantly surprised! It's a very sweet movie, and is especially touching for anyone who's ever had a tight group of friends.

great story line. if oyu like the yaya movie you'll like this one. I read the rest of the books after this and I really hopw they make movie out of them too. I am now waiting for her ot write the last book.

With a name like "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants" I thought this movie was sure to be a flop. But when my mother asked me to watch it with her on Mother's Day I wasn't about to tell her no! By the end of the movie, however, we were both in tears. It's a sweet, heartwrenching, and surprisingly true-to-life tail of four teens who are bonded together in more ways than one. They represent most of the spectrum of teenage angst. Whether it's the outgoing one who's experienced some trauma, the sheltered and shy one, the one with the broken family, or our friendly neighborhood goth, it touches on issues relevant to ALL teens in today's society. It encompasses deep themes on teen minds (such as sex) without necessarily going into the gory details or even mentioning it explicitly. But we all know what they meant and it teaches important lessons (for example, the message about sex was summed up as something along the lines of "I thought it would be so fulfilling, but it only made me feel more empty than ever"). I think it sends such a positive message about so many things, while still managing to cater to the more worldly adult audience. I don't like many American films (I'm an Almodovar fan myself) but this one is definitely in my collection!

This is a great movie that tells about friendship, love and sisterhood (friendship style). Four best friends find a pair of pants that mystereously fit all of them. Each girl has a diffent build and figure. They take this as a sign that the pants are magical. The events that happen with the girls over their first summer apart, are held together by sending the pants to each friend after a week. Girls of all ages will love it. I have decided to purchase this movie after watching it on HBO. As a mother of a 5 year old...I thought when she got older she would like it too. I have since lent it out to all my 30 something friends who inturn loved it just as much as I do.

I received this item fairly quickly and I was very happy with it. Product was just as it had been explained.

I enjoyed watching the magic of the pants at work. By going back and forth between the four best friends the story moved along beautifully. I particularly liked the fact that there was not a mean spirited girl in the whole movie. So often these days there has to be someone doing something to someone else in order to develope the plot. None of that here. Challenges, sucesses, first love, tears and laughter and in the end more friendship. My ten year old granddaughter loved it and talked about the girls like they were old friends after seeing it once. I dare you not to shed a tear or two and certainly smile a lot. After checking this out of my local library I just had to have it because I know it will be a favorite for a long time to come. Can not wait for Movie #2.

This is a good movie it does not follow the book exactly which most movies don't. Looking forward to Sisterhood 2 coming out soon.

OK SO IM AN ULTIMATE SISTERHOOD FAN. I HAVE READ BOOKS 1, 2,3 AND I AM FINALLY ON THE 4 BOOK. I WAS OUT OF THE COUNTRY WHEN THIS MOVIE CAME OUT AND I JUST NEVER GOT AROUND TO LOOKING FOR IT TO SEE IT. FINALLY I CAUGHT THE MOVIE ON TV AND I ABSOLUTLY LOVED IT. THATS WHEN I REALIZED I NEEDED TO SEE IT AGAIN. SO LIKE ALWAYS I TURNED TO EBAY AND SURE ENOUGH FOUND MY MOVIE AND RECIVED IT QUICKLY. I AM SATIFIED WITH THE MOVIE OF COURSE YOU DONT NEED TO READ THE BOOK TO APRECIATE SISTERHOOD OF THE TRAVELING PANTS BUT IM SURE ONCE YOU SEE IT YOU WILL BE HOOKED AND YOU WILL WANT TO READ THE BOOK. Bought this video for Mother for Christmas. Have not viewed this DVD but have seen the movie and really liked it. Mom kept saying she wanted to see it.

Well done, actors played characters well, and director did a great job. I enjoyed the film so much that I have recommended it to other people.

great movie to see with your closest dearest girl friends. even though the characters are in high school, you still can feel the story no matter what age you are. can't wait for the next part of the movie to be released later this year or beginning of next!
