Unlikely, but watchable
Bogart is once again on the wrong side of the law as a gunrunner in French occupied Syria in the mid-twenties... there's a lot of references back to the 'Great War' (Must have been nice to live in a world where they didn't have to number the wars) by Lee J. Cobb as the French commandant trying to pacify the area after the post WW-I occupation. Bogart is making life short and violently unpleasant by selling guns to the Syrians. There's a number of byzantine twists and turns (Hayes office, remember? Bad guys must always lose.) but a good level of acting throughout, including what would be called cameos today by what would become some of Hollywoods Golden Age A-list. Once again, I would like to have seen a cartoon feature, perhaps other some contemporaneous material as well as an introduction.
