Sirius Stiletto SL100-PK1 Satellite Radio Receiver

I purchased the Sirius Stiletto because I do a great deal of traveling across the wide open areas if Wyoming and there is often limited to no radio available. I just got back from my first trip with Sirius and have to say I was shocked. I had radio coverage in areas I did not imagine possible. The choice is great. I would recommend if you have children around some channels be blocked, but really is an amazing service. I also strongly recommend having the unit hard wired rather than using the built in FM transmitter. Not overly pleased by the battery length, and I have both a standard battery and long life, but that only becomes an issue when not plugged into power in my car. All in all, I have to say I am more than pleased with this purchase.

First of all, the size of this radio is perfect for me. I use it at the gym and while running. It transitions to my car perfectly. I drive a small sports car, so room on the dash board is at a premium. With the car kit, I can attach it to an air vent, leaving the rest of my dash board available.

The functionality is a little more difficult than I am used to, but that's because I haven't had a different Sirius radio in over three years. After reading the manual and messing with the buttons on my own, I'm getting the hang of it. I really love how when you change channels, a voice tells you which channel it is on. That is perfect for when I'm driving and can't keep my eyes on the radio. The display is so slick, I love the colors and logos. The option to change the display colors, etc. is a really nice addition.

I haven't used the radio indoors yet and I probably won't connect it via WiFi because I mainly bought the radio for use in my car. If that's what you're going to use it for, this is perfect! I highly suggest buying the car kit to go along with it. I even installed it myself with very little difficulty.

I had read that the FM transmitter wasn't very strong, but I haven't had a problem with that yet. You can easily choose a different FM station to transmit to through the options menu. Again, the car kit comes with extra FM antenna, so even if there was a problem with the transmitter, it's taken care of.

Lastly, this little radio is so cute! I know that's not a big deal to a lot of people, but I just love looking at the thing. The functionality is the best part, of course, but the looks are just the icing on the cake. It's a little bulkier with the battery, but it still fits neatly into my purse without adding a lot of weight.

I wanted to upgrade my Sirius radio, and found this ad. The price was excellent and when I received the radio, it was in brand new condition. Definitely better condition than that which was stated in the listing. That and the extras that came with it were a pleasant surprise.

These are great radios. You can walk with it & listen to live programming using the satellite connection- CNN or Howard Stern, whatever, lots of choices. In the house, you can listen to the same stuff through your internet connection. I bought this one to replace the same unit which died. That's the big negative. They are expensive & delicate & don't last more than a few years.

This is an awesome product if you're in an area that gets good reception. Don't expect it to work in your car or home without an antena though. The small size is convenient, but too big to run with. This item is perfect for using at work or in your home.

This is a great item. I love it!! I had a Siruis Sportster before and replaced it with the stletto 2 and it is far more seperior than the other one. The only problem that I have is that after a month I had this item I dropped it and now I can not turn it on or off.

The Sirius Stiletto is the best. Works great in my vehicle. I love that it records. I can listen to my favorite shows away from the vehicle.
The head phone are too tight - at the ears buds. Suggestion: there are a lot of vehicles with plastic or canvas tops (i.e. corvettes & Jeeps). It would be great if you had something that would allow me to attach the antenna onto these types of serfaces.
I cancelled XM so I could get Sirius - and the stilleto.

After trying several different styles of XM and Sirius Radios, this is our unit of choice.

The colored screen is very brightly backlit and easy to view thru visors or glasses and this is important to us as ours is mounted on a Goldwing Gl1800.

All functions can be done easily and only require one touch to activate controls ranging from channel selection to my favorite function on this radio, the instant record.

Once a song plays and you decide you would like a copy for future enjoyment, you simply press the record button and it will save the entire song even if you have been listening for several minutes.

This button can also be used as a Favorites button when you are listening to pre-recorded stations which is another favorite function.

With the SL100, it automatically records the top 3 stations you listen to. Up to a full day's worth of music for each one and when you are in an area with o reception or you choose to have more control over what you are listening to, you simply play back your choice of stations. You can fast forward, pause, rewind and of course, save specific songs that are added to you favorites play list.
