This receiver has a factory problem that happens in time??? Full signal strength on the satellite signal but it will say acquiring signal. I tested it it in my truck docking station , my home docking station, my boom-box, and my motorhome docking station. With this many stations to test at I do not believe Sirius that it is an antenna problem. This problem happened a short time after Siuius got in trouble with the FCC about the output power of the FM transmitter for this style of unit. I did not take them up on the "free fix their problem" accessories. and shortly after that time is when it started showing the acquiring signal on the display. I worked with satellite communications for 23 years using different types of encryptions VCI, VCII, MPEG and each and every one had an SSID# or in this case a EIN#. ANY equipment like this can be shut down or turned off or put in to suspension with a few key strokes from an uplink site on a computer. From others that have left input on the internet does Sirius have any thing to do with this issue? Or do way too many of the Sirius subscribers with the Sirius Sportster SP-TK1 that have this problem need to replace this unit because it is "faulty" or is this something that Sirius has done to their subscribers to get them out of trouble with the FCC?
