Sirius SV3-TK1 Satellite Radio Receiver

Two of the reviews have nothing to do with this stratus, but more about the deal they got on the one they bought. NO help at all. I own one of these and really like it. It works just as well as the more expensive models. The only real differance between the stratus and the more costly models are: The stratus "only" has 10 station presets. How many do you think you will need? I have 8 of mine set, and don't use them all. (2) The stratus has a yellowish display, which does not look as nice as the blue ones on the more expensive ones. Thats about it. If you want to try Sirius without spending a fortune, this one will work just fine.
One note though- if you do not want wires running everywhere, have it installed by a pro.

This is a very easy Sirius receiver to use while driving. The buttons are easy to push and program! I Recommend!

i recently just purchased a sirius sv3-tk1 satellite radio receiver.this is my first satellite radio ..i have it in my car..it was very simple to hook up..it was a simple as one two three..i didn't even have to put the antenna outside my car i just put it in the windshild and the reception was clear...it broadcast over an fm channel so i just put it in my change holder and it works perfectly..it's also very flush since i drive a mercedes i didn't want it to look after market and it fits right it..i would recommend it to anyone ..

It is a nice small unit and perfect for basic use. If you don't need all the bells and whistles more "modern" units have (like playing mp3s etc) then this is just perfect. Besides, if paying 4-6 times as much to get a color display sounds like a good idea to you, you are probably not reading this review anyhow!

I've used the more expensive Sirius radios, and for the money they aren't really that much better than the SV3. Really, if you want a very good quality radio that functions perfectly and has some nice features, but don't want to spend hundreds of dollars, this is the one to get.

I wanted to upgrade from the basic radio to a dock and play and got what i wished for, it was very easy to setup just had to call sirius radio and have them change from the old radio to the new one that simple there is a fifteen dollar charge to change radios but hey its worth it in the long run

I PURCHASED THIS UNIT FOR A PRESENT. I HAVE A SATELLITE RADIO, SO I THOUGHT THIS WOULD MAKE A GREAT PRESENT.

very easy to use and with the yellow backlight it will not light up the inside of your car. The only issue is the complex way you need to enter stations manually.

Older model but it works fine. First receiver i bought but for the price I couldn't beat it. I wish I could find a boombox that is compatible with the stratus at a decent price.

I have had my Sirius Radio for about 2 weeks now and I am loving it! It was extremely easy to install, especially with the built in FM transmitter, it's easy to navigate, set presets, and find an awesome station. Best part is with Sirius Radio there is no commercials so theres all music almost all the time. It's great! Won't give it up for the world. Everyone should get one.

this is a great product cheap easy and just wonderful for people on a budget..only thing is that the radio does not find sports programs but you have to spend alot of money and buy a sportster it would be nice if the heap one did that

Its very easy to install, and a reasonably priced unit. I wanted to give satellite radio a try because regular radio sucks. The only dislike i have is paying for the service it can be a bit steep. Hope this helps anyone with future purchases.

Bought this for my teenager and he loves it. Easy to use and install. I've had Sirius for several years now and once my son turned 16 and got a vehicle, I promised him a satellite radio. (We are really spoiled) I bought this one (great deal) and it works great for him.

works like a job except the buttons are a little hard to press but it is just a basic receiver for people who don't want anything crazy

If you have never experienced a satellite radio then you have never experienced radio! think of how awesome it would be to never change the station unless you wanted to. or to hear nothing but what you want to hear? it is just like regular TV versus satellite or cable TV. believe me there is no comparison! and for only 13.00 a month it is invaluable on a long trip. ther is a channel that has the old radio classics on there , comedy channels that are family and one that is over the top ( eddie murphy) style. sports ....the list goes on. the news channels are just like the ones on cable or satellite. trust me if you ever get one you will never do without one again. how long did it take for you to get your cable/satellite service hooked up on your home TV? try it you will never do without one ever again!

Well I'm new at Ebay,and I guess I made my mistake by buying this item a little too quickly...I mean it was a great deal but shipping to Canada was really expensive.So it's basically not the fault of the seller but my own...Bid and learn..

The SV3 is the basic low-end 10 channel memory model of Sirius receivers. It is compatible with the universal docking station. This was a replacement for one that was accidentally fried during installation. With that said, do not direct wire into fuse panel. Purchase a lighter plug extension cable, plug the Sirius into that, then hardwire that into the fuse panel.

Very good option, if you are looking for a less expensive sirius radio. It would be perfect if package include remote control and if the radio could store more than 10 preset channels.

Defective Sirius player confirmed my Sirius. I had to buy a new one. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND DOING BUSINESS WITH.

I had one Sirius Radio and my husband liked it so much that I had to get him one! Great programming!!!! Music channels have NO commercials! What a deal. It is worth the money.
