Sins of Midnight by Kimberly Logan (2006, Paperback)

This is the third book I have read from this author and this one is my favorite. Not only does it have all the expected historical romance drama but it has a captivating intense mystery which holds your interest til the end. The characters are so well described and the was easy to follow.

A mystery from the past haunts the main character Lady Jillian Daventry and she is determined to put the past to rest. Her family has suffered greatly and she personally has been shunned by the ton. But Lady Jillian is determined to behave for her sister's coming out. A clue to her past is offered when a business man Connor Monroe seeks some answers in solving a mystery of his own and passions seems to ignite from the start. It is a temptation that Jillian can't resist.
