Hidden treasure
This is the album that got me started on Chumbawamba. Amazing harmonies, complex lyrics with a wonderful sense of history (Emma Goldman! The 1932 Mass Trespass!) and iconoclasm (the disparity between Christian Fundamentalists and the basic message of Christianity! an antidote to soppy monogamists!) and a beautiful call to action. If you're an old folkie and haven't checked out this band because of their punk/anarchist reputation, do yourself a favor and listen to this album. You may end up as big a fan of this band as I have. But do me a favor -- don't bid on their rarities until I've finished out my set, okay? And check out their own website for some things which are offered at a premium elsewhere, at a reasonable price.
