Singing Babies: Nursery Rhyme Time (DVD, 2001, Includes Audio CD Soundtrack)

Several weeks ago I bought the "Singing Babies" Nursery Rhyme Time DVD. My 11 month old grandson responds well to this DVD. He gets mesmerized, smiles, claps, dances to the rhymes. It also acts as a soother for him when he is cranky/crying. We enjoy all 17 classic nursery rhymes on this DVD. I highly recommend it.

I purchased this DVD at a local store for my nephew almost 3 years ago, but never got around to opening it up, or even showing it to him.
I got it real cheap, and I just didn't even think about it anymore, really.

Then, my first grandchild was born, and the older she got the more spoiled she got!!! She's one of those kids that needs constant entertainment to keep them pacified...at the time, she was only about 3 months old and was already driving her mother insane!
Anyway, I purchased the DVD "Veggie Tales Silly Songs" and she LOVED it!!!
She loved it so much that she had to have it with her everywhere she went.
SO, one day she was over here and she didn't have her "Veggie Tales" DVD!!!
I was going crazy, trying everything to entertain her!
Then, I remembered about this DVD, and I put it on.
Within an instant, she was HAPPY!!! I think she was more than happy, she was mesmorized by this movie!
I was in SHOCK! because the kids on the movie look really weird at first, and I thought it might scare her...but NO WAY!!! Her eyer were GLUED!!!
I'M SERIOUS!!!
This thing will keep your kid's attention throughout it's entirety! EVERY SINGLE TIME you play it for them!
Then, I looked around for the "Toddler Tunes" companion DVD and could't find one locally, so I purchased it on eBay.
She LOVES that one just as much!!!

Purchasing this DVD will be WELL WORTH every penny!!!

I REALLY LIKE BECAUSE SHE IS LEARNING THE OLD SONGS I GREW UP HEARING. THERES ARE NO DISLKIES. ALL THE BABIES ARE CUTE AND MY GIRL IS TRYING TO SING WITH THEM.

I BOUGHT BECAUSE I WAS LOOKING FOR SOMETHING THAT WOULD CAPTURE HER ATTENTION AND IT HAS WITH NO PROBLEMS. SHE LISTENS TO THESE BABIES EVERY NIGHT. I WON THE AUCTION SINGING BABIES TODDLER TUNES NOW. I CANT WITH FOR HER TO SEE.

My son loves this!!He can watch it over and over again! I love it also cause it gives me a chance to get things done knowing my son is occupied! :-) This is a must have! My son is 2 years old and still loves it. Buy it!

Wierd to look at but the kids like it. The baby mouths are superimposed and I laughed the entire time. Apparently children don't notice such details.

For an adult...the technical quality could improve. The babies faces are mostly deadpan and the singing lips are super imposed, a little wierd. However it is excellent for the cost and baby loves it!

For the baby...She doesn't care about the technical quality. She danced, clapped and laughed all the way through the DVD. She give it a 5 STAR rating. The music is appropriate and provides entertainment for babies and toddlers.

Our 15 month old granddaughter LOVES this video. She watches it over and over again. Obviously these babies likenesses are computer and mechanically altered to appear as though they are singing, but our little one doesn't notice. She even hums along with it. Great entertainment for her.

My 2 year old daughter LOVES Singing Babies. She asks to watch it every day! It is entertaining for parents as well. Love it. A++++++++++++++++

Happy time for little ones. I bought this for my grand baby He loves music of all kinds. He watches Baby Einstein and Noggin. He sings himself to sleep and he is just 6 months old.

The concept I like, however the jacket is very misleading. It claims to be 120 minutes and that is simply not true. It plays for about 27 minutes and it seems like there is more or extra features, when actually it is just single playback of 1 nursery rhyme...I was disapointed.

I'm honestly glad that I only paid $0.01 for this item. While my daughter was fascinated by them, I was rather disturbed by the images of babies with obviously melded-in mouths and eyes belonging to other, older children, super-imposed over them... I think this would have been a better DVD had the songs been there, but the babies been allowed to do whatever they wanted to...

This is a knock off copy of the real Singing Babies. Even the cover is a copy of the orgional with all the Manufactures information covered.

My 2 year old loves singing and songs. He likes this DVD but it doesn't hold his interest all the way through it.

MY SEVENTEEN MONTH OLD CAN NOT STOP WATCHING THESE DVDS, SHE LOVES THEM!! FROM A FATHER' PERSPECTIVE, THESE REALLY ARE SOME 'CREEPY' LOOKING KIDS SINGING ON THIS DVD, BUT SHE SURE IS HAPPY!

My 2years old son loves this DVD very much. Every day he play this DVD with his portable DVD player by himself. This DVD should buy for all pre school age kids.

I bought this cd because I was looking for any entertaiment that included babies. My 18 mo. granddaughter is crazy about real babies, doll babies, tv and internet babies, so I wanted something for her. These babies have "animated" mouths... mouths superimposed on their own, so it looks rather strange to me, but my granddaughter loves it. The nursery rhyme songs they sing are familiar to her and the babies bodies are their own, whether their mouths are or not. As long as my granddaughter is happy, I'm happy.

We have both of the singing babies DVD's and my 2 year old daughter LOVES, LOVES, LOVES them. She calls them by name and sings all of the songs along with the kids. Great learning DVD and not quite as annoying as the usual kid DVD's. Adults that see them, think they are a little creepy because the kid's mouth movements are obviously computer generated, but kids love it. We have already worn one out playing it so much! I definitely recommend them.

My son's one of favorite dvd's. There are very entertaining and educational songs. We liked both dvd's.

My 2 year old liked the kids siging, however as an adult having to listen to it... the singing is HORRIBLE!!! For some reason, they have added a singer to the bunch and she ings awful...completely off key and out of tune... it is so BAD... why they would do this for a child who is actually learning things, I have no clue! BAD, BAD, BAD!

This DVD-R is a pirate copy from the Original DVD. My DVD player cannot play on it. There is not enough information what exactly format of this DVD in the Advertisment and it is illegal!!!

I purhcased this video because I have a nine month old that seems to abosolutely adore other babies. I thought this to be a perfect idea as the video discription depicts babies in motion.
My son loved the first 20 minutes or so, as most of the video is exactly as stated: babies singing nursery rhymes. It has given him much enjoyment but a nine month old doesn't really have a tremendously long attention span.
For me, I have to put him (my son) in his room to watch it, as it seems to me a little irritating. But I'm not the one this video is made for.
All-in-all I would give it a good rating. It is as stated. I would only give an excellent to an item that would completely capture my childs attention with a mixture of singing, dancing and more bright, vivid color. This is not an indication that this video is bad. Again, it is what it claims to be. Babies singing nursery rhymes. Actually, it's kind of funny to see the animation...
My rate comes from what I am in search of.
