Singer Tiny Serger TS380 Sewing Machine

I love the Tiny Serger. It makes beautiful stitches. I have a full size serger that has a knife to trim seams, and I was wondering if I would be able to control the fabric so it did not get caught, and the serger stitched right on the edge. I found there was a guide, and the fabric went through evenly and did not get stuck. It is necessary to follow the directions carefully--every detail is important. And it takes patience to thread it, but that becomes easier each time it is done. Since I shall be using it lying down, due to a disability, it is a perfect size. It has a fast and a slow speed; neither is as fast as a full size serger, but for its purpose, it is great. It would also be perfect for anyone who wanted to put some decoration on their crafting and scrapbooking. The machine does use Style 2020 needles. I do not know what the availability of this style needle is. I was glad to find some on ebay. Also, I imagine that by setting the tensions correctly, one could do some of the decorative serging that can be done on a regular serger. However, it does not have differential feed. Overall, for its purpose, an excellent little machine, Again, I love it.

I sew for my grandaughter...and have always wanted a serger...too expensive...so I decided to look on ebay and try to purchase one, and I won the bid on the singer tiny serger...and it works great...love it...

So compact and works rather well. A little confusing at fist with all the threads and such. Definitely a great buy.

I bought this serger as my very first serger, glad I did, because it taught me how easy it was to use a serger. I've now bought a better model, and am glad I bought the first one. E-Bay is a great way to try anf learn about new products. Thanks EBay!!!

This is not a full size, high speed, Serger. It does overedge. About 250 SPM. But, it does not do a straight stitch. If you intend to join two pieces of cloth, you might be let down. Check the Singer web site, I got the book downloaded for free.

I have never owned a serger so for the money at this time it was a good choice. It gives you the basic principle of how the machine works without the expense. What is not so great is the weight of the machine (too light), the length of the power (too short) cord and the controller (too small). I bought it mainly for doing repairs but if I did a lot of new sewing I definitely see where the cost of heavy duty serger is worth the expense.

I got the serger and was very dissatisfied with it. It was impossible to figure out how to thread and I never did get it to work, although it could have something to do with the way the seller shipped. I was dissapointed.

I love this little machine. Though it doesn't do the job that a full size surger does it does a great job within it's limitations. I love the fact that I can use it anywhere, take it with me from room to room or even on a trip if I choose. The stitches are nice and well done and the machine runs very smooth. It's very easy to use and though it looks like a toy it certainly isn't. This little machine really does a great little job...Of course how can you go wrong with Singer? You can't!!

I had to learn the serger and purchase tweezers but things are pretty good now.
I enjoyed the serger and find it rather cute. My mother does more sewing then I do so she knows a little more about sergers than I do.

I bought this item approx. 2 weeks ago, and have used it several times.
Does not always sew, have to push it to feed, Manual was included, but not noted on ebay, cover is missing, and was not noted on Ebay.
Wanted to use for materials that fray,it sews fine, WHEN it sews.
Would not recommend to anyone that wants to do a lot of sewing.

I've always wanted a serger, but at hundreds of dollars for one I could never afford the full size models. Singer makes a "tiny" serger that does what it claims. Great for overedging small jobs.. but for a larger project, like many layers of fabric or thick fabric, this model is too lightweight to handle it.

Apparently I received a lemon. The machine does make a nice stitch, but, you have to really pull the fabric along hard as there doesn't seem to be enough power for the machine to feed the fabric through properly like a full-size real machine. Extremely frustrating to work with my machine. The Manufacturer did send a new power cord thinking this was the problem. It wasn't. Long story short, I wasted about $40!

This is an excellent Serger for its size. I have used it several times making Baby clothes and it is much easier to use than my big serger. Would recommend it to anyone.

I bought the Tiny Serger for a neice. She was very excited to have the machine. It is inexpensive and does a good job, especially for someone just getting into serging. I myself started with a same Tiny Serger and now have the Evolve Serger that is expensive.
