SingStar (game & microphone) (Playstation 3, 2008)

I'm a huge singstar fan! This game is great for parties, or just playing with the family. I would recommend this to someone who's not afraid to get up and do their own thing!

I mostly got this for the 2 microphones they have so I could have extra when we do our American Idol...I was pleased that they appear to be a good quality, very heavy, but the cords are too short & you have to be up too close for my likes. I wasn't too pleased about the music & such...many were too sexually explicit and my sister & I had to turn it off because we felt it was just too much for her young teenage grand daughter. Her grand daughter even didn't like it so at least she didn't feel deprived. I think this best suits someonem in their 20's best. Maybe 18 & older. Just feel it is definitely too much for a young teen..they get exposed already to so much...don't need to have them singing the words out loud.
Wish they could come up with another singing star set that doesn't have suggestive or sexy words. THere are so many great songs out there that you don't have to put songs on here that are not appropriate. All in all this would be great for 18 & older I feel.

I bought the GAME SINGSTAR few days ago and was immediately impressed with the number of features available on this inexpensive game. It has a good graphic. The Game´s box is perfect for keep the game in good view , I'd recommend the game if you're on a budget.

Singstar is a fun alternative to my usual Rock Band or Guitar Hero games.
Since it's all singing they have a nice duet system, where one can sing the blue lines and another the red lines. If you like you can save the recoding to the drive and play it back and add some vocal effects as well.
Nice to watch some music videos as well!

Singstar is awesome, a wonderful selection of songs that, youre sure to find something you'd like to belt out! The only negative here is there are only 30 songs on the disc, which they started on ps2 because 30 songs is about what a dvd will hold. Now blu-ray can hold a gagillion times more than a dvd did, so they should up the content. Aside from that its a fun game!

I loved that i got a brand new item for less than the stores! I got singstar with two mics for the price of one cheap ps3 game!

i like this game because you can have a lot of fun with your friends and family and you can choose the song that you like to sing also have and interesting mode games like dua and cooperative modes the thing that i don´t like is that you have to pay for more songs but is cheap price and if you are connecting with internet you can download your score and videos also is in the format of ps3 (blue-ray disc).

I'm not a big singer by any means, but I have to admit that this is a great game to play when you have a bunch of people over. The singstar store is pretty in depth but there needs to be more content on there. For example, why is Paula Abdul listed in the "Rap" section? Anyways, I think this is a great party game for the PS3, even if you don't have a voice of an angel. I recommend giving it a try!

The game is fun, great songs on the disc and even more great ones for download online. Once you figure out pitch issues, the game can be beat! Its fun to pretend to be a rock star

I paid the order on 14 Dec 2008 and still did not receive the shipment.
I sent couple of messages to the sender, and i did not receive any reply.
I need a fast response and a solution etiher from the sender or ebay...

I love this game! It's like a karaoke machine in your ps3. And what's great is that you can go online and download more songs if you want. I've already downloaded three. I love it, it's so much fun!

My kids (girls 19 and 20, boy 14), have really been enjoying belting out tunes with this game. I'm not sure that a "mature" rating would have been better than the "teen" rating that it has, because it shows real videos, and includes most of the lyrics for the songs. Some of the video and lyrics I feel are too sexually explicit for the 14 year old. The kids hooked up the eye toy from their old PS2, and had even more fun making their own videos. I was also pleasantly surprised that they recognized and liked most of the included songs, and, since they have been having so much fun with the included songs, they haven't even started considering downloading other songs yet, which I thought they'd want to do right off the bat. My kids have a lot of musical talent, but with the background music and singers, even I can sing along and my terrible voice isn't glaringly obvious. Definately glad we purchased this item!

I would rate it excellent if it had wireless mics. Fun Game, well worth the price. I bought the combo pack with the wired mics for $48 shipped. Would be more fun without the wires.

I spent $60 on it. Not too bad, I would really recommend it if it drops to like $40. It is fun to sing with friends and family, new updates for Singstar are coming, so be prepared!

If you like to sing, even if you would never consider singing around other people, you have got to get this game. Singstar is a ton of fun and if you are sitting watching others play you will find yourself singing along thinking, I might as well grab the mic myself.

This game makes it very easy for anyone to sing Karaokee without having to get embarassed by being out in public at a bar doing it. The track list is great and the downloadable content is phenomenol.

The idea is great, but somehow it doesn't deliver all the fun that you might expect. There are only 30 songs, and many of them sux!
Too bad you cannot rent it before you buy it!
