Sing the Alphabet by Sesame Street (CD, Sep-1996, Sony Wonder)

i have a brother who is 9 1/2 years younger than i am. when he was little - we had this cassette tape that had songs about the alphabet. still, to this day, sometimes we say little things from some of those old familiar songs - "so buy the 'o' and take it home tonight - you'll really like it"....! "say hey - i'm sammy the snake"..... i plan on giving it to him for valentines day. hes 29 now and i hope he gets a kick out of it.

We had the cassette of this, wore it out, and then bought the CD. Still a favorite after all these years.

My son loves this CD. There are lots of silly songs sung by his favorite Sesame Street characters. It's a good way to help him to learn his ABC's. Like any music that you listen to over & over again, the songs sometimes get stuck in my head for days!

What's NOT to like? Great for the car, great for 'quiet time', easy to follow, catchy little tunes ~ even adults will 'hum' the day away. Really helps with pronounciation, phonics and association of letters. One of the BEST for ALL kids, both young and old.

I love this cd, because of the fun songs that teach as you will sing the timeless music. This is why "Sesame Street" has been so popular all these years, and is still popular.For example, we love the "D" song sung by "Ernie", and at the same time "Cookie Monster" is imitating the things that "Ernie" is singing.It is fun to imaging "Cookie Monster" rushing around trying to keep up with Ernie. My autistic son learns from this music, and my whole family still laugh at the songs, even though we have heard the songs a million times! I think anyone will love this cd, if they give it a chance!

This CD does not have a regular alphabet song. I spent my money for no reason. But the seller is a fast shipper.

My daughter loves Sesame Street so this CD is great. Car rides are fun. There are old songs I remember and new songs and we learn the alphabet. Highly recomended.

I try to do a school time with my toddler for 15-30 mins a day. Keeping his attention and staying focused on learning for that time can be difficult, but music always makes it better. He loves the songs! Whenever he wants a cookie, now he'll say "C is for Cookie" Some of the letter songs are better than others for him to sing with, but he likes the recognizable voices. very cute!

My daughter is studying to become a speech therapist in college. Years ago we had the tape of "Sing the Alphabet". She thought it would be excellent to use with the children she is working with. She and my husband used to play the tape all the time and loved it. They played it so often I threatened to throw it away. My husband tends to overplay his favorite CDs and tapes. When I was cleaning out tapes several years ago I apparently did toss this Sesame Street tape out because looking for it a couple of months ago we couldn't find it. My daughter was delighted I found a CD of her beloved alphabet songs on ebay.

I loved this for my kids but hadn't thought it would still be available. So glad ebay is good for this kind of stuff. Now my grandaughters can enjoy what my kids enjoyed and in a better venue than 45's. Now the music in on cd.

My kids love the Alphabet CD, especially when Elmo sings!!! Cute songs!!! Highly recommend for your children to hear- but it will drive you insane after listening to it over and over and over again!!!
