If you're reading this review trying to decide on buying Sin City all I can say is BUY IT. Buy it now. It's one of my all-time favorite movies.

Sin City features one of the best casts ever assembled for an action/comic book movie. The story is superb and the action is second to none.

Besides the cool action seens and strange bad guy/good guys twists and turns...

This movie is a great movie. Certainly not for those who cannot critically think or those who are not into movies with great imagry. This movie is fulled with beautiful and strange color. It makes you think about why red was used in part A/B/C or why her eyes are green. It is a beautifully done movie for those who love the art of our age.

If for no other reason it is a must see, becuase of the artistic approach! Certainly something I can see used in a college class. Not to bad for those comic fans either!

This movie is great. The extended cut offers two things-awesome bonus features, most notably Robert Rodriguez's 10 min. cooking school, and the ability to watch all four segments seperately from start to finish. The extra footage not seen in the other release is nothing to write home about, seems to be all in the Bruce Willis segments. Do not buy because you might be missing out on some lost footage, but if you like the 10 min cooking school or the 10 min flick schools that Robert Rodriguez puts together than sell your copy of Sin City and buy the extended cut. It also has the original release on a seperate disc.

If you are in the movie business and are an aspiring to be a director or such then buy it, but other than that buy the reguar version save yourself some money.

The Sin City Special Edition DVD set was a great deal. Not only does it include the movie disc and the bonus disc, it also comes with a mini full length copy of the first graphic novel in the series. I actually bought two sets as gifts for my brother and husband. They are both really into the movie and I thought it would be the perfect gift for someone that would like to know more about the movie and how it was created. I recommend this set for anyone that loves the movie and would like to get the most for their money.

This version of the film is definitely the one to buy. The killer feature is the ability to play any of the four stories separately. There is also additional footage added, which is nice. The packaging is good, but not phenomenal. There is a full comic included of The Hard Goodbye, which I will soon be reading. If you find this at a bargain and liked the movie in the theaters, then this is a must-buy.

Great movie a blend of old and new love the cinematography,action in this movie is consistent and flows smoothly with story.

This movie has always been one of my favorites, but in Blu Ray, it is just phenomenal. You can't get a better cast and in Blu Ray, you feel like the characters are in the room.

This edition is truly the best one on the market! It comes with the graphic novel "The Hard Goodbye", and disk one has the theatrical version, while disk two has the extended versions of each story, split up into the actual books, as intended. There are also special features like a "green screen version" of the film where you can watch the entire thing without any special effects at all (however, why anyone would ever want to do that is beyond me).

Robert Rodriguez was able to revisit his vision and make it better. More fitting to the original graphic novels this is highly recommended for any fan. You miss nothing and get all the bonuses.

Wow, I had great hopes for this movie when I saw the previews, but it was just dissappointing, and even more, sad to see that people actually like this movie. If you like really bad dialogue, acting, pointless plots, and needless gore and voilence then sadly, I guess this movie was made just for you in mind. If you favor intelligence, then don't waste your time. The violence level in this film disturbed even me, its not that i have a problem with violence and gore, but I feel there should be a point or reason to it. Sin City had the most needless and pointless violence I think I have ever seen in any film to date, but I assume 300 will be much the same. I did however like the black and white contrast, but even that is not original, remember Schindler's List, probably not. This movie is just terrible especially for being one of the most over-hyped movies ever, well, don't buy into it.

A movie that truely represents an excellent comic-based film. action, tourtured heroes and villins, twists, sories within stories. It has it all.

I'm shock this movie has not come out on BD in the states yet, it looks fantastic, I tell you right now if you like the movie at all buy this version. It does not matter if you have it in regular dvd, buy the blu-ray version because it looks great. Like Arnold would say in the Predator "Do it now, Come on what are you waiting for come on!!!" lololol.

always been a fan of sin city....and the extended addition is great with an extra 30 mins than the theatrical release....I am also a huge fan of Frank Miller and graphic novel's in general....This DVD package comes with the first sin city graphic novel "The Hard Goodbye", which features Marv, Goldie, and Wendy as Marv avenges Goldies' death...Havn't read all of the Sin City novels, but as far as I can tell the movie is a compilation of three Sin City novels...The Hard Goodbye, The Big Fat Kill, and that Yellow Bastard....Do yourself a favor and get this movie and read the sin city novels...they are incrediby good quick reads....

Great! One of our favorites! My husband has been wanting this movie ever since he watched the original. I searched and searced and then within seconds found it on e-bay. It also comes with a nice book.

The best sin city dvd made, has the extended cut, along with the special features and the comic book. Such an original movie, was brand spanken new in the package and the dvd was the cheapest I have found brand new anywhere. awesome find, thanx agian!

This movie is poetic. The writing, visuals, and story line suck you in from start to finish. A bit gorey but it is from a graphic novel from Frank Miller. The tones and colors, however down play the gore with its unique beauty. If you love this movie then you definitely love 300 which is from the same writer and director.

I love the works of Frank Miller so this review is biased from the get-go. I saw Sin City and was simply blown away with the innovation it took to bring the graphic novels to movie-life. That reason alone was why I purchased the DVD. Nuf said.

Sin city is the ultimate comic book come to life. The directors really did a good job. Bruce Willis is great with his dramatic character, and seeing Jessica Alba, Carla Gugino two deffinite hotties in the industry was a bonus. The story lines were fantastic, and the extended cuts were excellent. Thank you for the buy at a great price.

The movie and extras were absolutely a must buy for any movie lover! The actors and actresses only make the plot even better. The violence and gore were transcending to real life... I think. Regardless, I will enjoy watching this movie over and over!
