What an amazing game this is. You can walk down to the ocean, or jog, or drive. You can picnic in the park or buy out a business. Motherlode works to gain $50,000 Simoleons everytime you press Ctrl Shift and c. It helps the game so much. Promotions are often, and you can even take classes to learn how to fish, charisma speeches, how to cook, and other talents. When you visit the grocery store, you can buy all types of items like watermelon, cheese, and fish, steaks, and lobster. To access these items you must go into your sim's inventory and click to eat it. The kitchens have cabinets and the beds are all comfortable (I believe). There's a wide assortment of flooring and wall coverings as well as brick and siding for the exterior amongst others. Lifetime goals have a nice payoff, and the points accrue automatically slowly, yet get higher as your sim completes promised wishes. The cars are more current and the driveways are now called parking spots with a small barrier the width of the car (a long wide piece of cement to show the parking space). This game has laptops, cell phones, and high definition tv's. It has a city hall to change a sim's name. It has fishing and football, jogging and swimming along with an exercise center, spa, and many fishing holes marked with an anchor. When you catch a fish, it goes straight into your inventory. It has space rocks on the beach and all sorts of gems and metals you can have cut. Pay increases are quick and even quicker if you choose for your sim to "work hard" while at the workplace. If you live by the sand and ocean your sim will feel like they are at a special vista boosting the happiness of that sim. You'll see this in the square with all of their fulfilled instances and it will show a curvy slide. You can call friends to meet you wherever you are in the town by using a cell phone you have with you at all times. There are 10% off sales at the bookstore and paychecks each week when you buy a building. In a sense you can be whatever you want to be and yet still become a business tycoon. When venturing off somewhere, instead of loading the destination, this game allows you to "go with your sim" to the destination without changing screens making it so that you could walk across town downtown, or down to the ocean. For instance, if you live on the beach, you can click on the sand, and have your sim jog down to the beach and go beach combing or jogging, or even just for a walk. Volumes on the TV and stereo can be controlled by clicking on it and selecting adjust volume to low. The phone doesn't ring off the hook usually and you can keep up with people like in real life on the cell phone provided. I believe the cell phone is a maroon Blackberry Curve 8330 or better because it has the appearance of a smartphone. It has a game system that resembles XBOX 360 and also another device that resembles virtual reality (like previous versions of The Sims). When you have your sim go to the spa, especially the $3,000.00 treatment for 3,000 simoleons, your sim becomes completely at ease for a full 7 days. When your sim sits down to eat pizza, their hunger becomes fully topped off after just one slice. When ordering a pizza, the cost is 30 Simoleons and your sim will answer the door automatically and receive the pizza better than the previous versions of The Sims such as Sims 1 and Sims 2.Now go get this game and put the FU back into FUN! If you've mostly enjoyed previous versions of The Sims, you'll love The Sims 3!
