you cannot play this game while the Sims2 is installed upon your computer

I like the fact that I can play it easily on my laptop, but I was a little disappointed in the game itself. I expected more from Maxis after playing The Sims 1 & 2. For example, the viewing area is limited and the game lacks some imagination. I much prefer the original PC game, but it IS handy to have the sims on my laptop, too.

As a SIMs game it is decent and a bit different. Missions and goals make it less redundant and there are some very cute additions.. but bottom line is it is juat another SIMs. Not enough new material/new things to do to reach my "Highly recommended" list but I can say if you love the SIMs this one you would want to try, because AS a SIMs addition it is one of the cutest.

I BOUGHT THIS GAME,BECAUSE I HAVE MOST OF THE OTHER SIMS GAMES AND I WAS CURIOUS.I CAN ONLY COMMENT ON THE STORYLINE ASPECT OF THE GAME,BECAUSE THAT'S ALL I HAVE PLAYED AS OF YET.SO FAR IT IS FUN AND ENGAGING.MY ONLY COMPLAINT SO FAR IS THAT IT IS TOO EASY.I LIKE MORE OF A CHALLENGE.

I love all of the Sims 2 games. This one is really unique and gives the sims a fun twist. I decided to buy it because i already owned all of the other Sims Life Stories and thought this one would be fun.

Third in the StoriesIt is pretty good but had a little problem with the install and got tech support who told me my new vista with dual core 1.6 wasn't up to the requirements and so I proceeded to find my way to the game in a roundabout way and was able to play the game smoothly and loved the story and graphics. Seems like there was only 1 story to play and was quite a long one. Remember this is a standalone version of sims2 with no add-on possible but less taxing on the pc and less space is needed to store on hard drive. Try it.

I wanted to buy it because i am a simmer. What i didnt expect was the story mode being so much fun! my favorite ps2 sims game was busting out but this one takes the story play wayyyyyyyyy beyond that. it makes the sims fun again.

In my personal opinion, castaway stories is better than life stories. There is a lot more stuff to do, and it's pretty cool to play on an island and explore, if you're into the sims games, I recommend getting this one first.

This game is cool in the fact that it introduces you to some new character environments and ideas, but the gameplay is, pretty much, the same as all the other Sims games. It's pretty cool to be able to play with monkeys and stuff though and the graphics are definitely awesome

This game is great! It has been hours of fun! Why is this game differant then the other Sims? Well in this game your sim gets older! And you can watch your baby grow up into a great sim or a lazzy teen ager. You learn lots of things from the island, it has just been a great addition to my collection!
