Chances are, if you are reading this, you are already such a fan of the Simpsons, you need no introduction. Just a few quick details you may not be able to pick up from the photo ...
This is the first season to be released in BOTH a regular box set and a special edition package. The contents are the same. The "Homer Head" collector's edition is made of plastic -- not metal. This package does have a nice card-style disk holder that is easier to access than the boxed version. The plastic cover itself, though, isn't especially durable. About the density of those wobbly-sided plastic Slurpee cups.
If you buy the collector's edition, it comes with a card you can fill out to get the standard box (empty) to match the rest of your Simpsons DVD collection for free.
As with previous seasons, this one does not disappoint. You can again select to watch the DVD all the way through, or by episode -- with or without commentary.
The ONLY negative-esque thing I have to say is I hope we Simpsons fans won't have to wait this long between full-season releases ever again!

True to form, just good, funny side-splitting entertainment!

The simpsons are always irreverently funny, but this season took the cake as homer bart maggie lisa and marge pushe the envolope to the outermost edges of acceptability --- Love that simpsons

The all-American dysfunctional family, beloved stars of the longest-running animated television series ever, returned for a sixth season on FOX. This season sees the adults of Springfield disappearing when Homer markets his libidinous wonder drug, while, Bart suspects aliens and conspiracy. Marge uncovers a repressed memory of her father when she encounters a flight attendant, and the family learns the reason behind the household's dearth of pictures of Maggie. Bart manages to offend the entire country of Australia, while both Homer and Marge decide it's time for a career change. Marge becomes a cop and sets about cleaning up Springfield, while Homer discovers the advantages and disadvantages of being a "professional" clown.

Simpsons Season 6 is full of classic episodes everyone will enjoy. In my opinion, The Simpsons from Season 2-8 were all basically flawless. I have no complaints about this at all, but be warned that the case isn't a cardboard box like seasons 1-5, but there is an option to send away for one for like 3.95 if you really want one instead of the plastic Homer head. Buy this DVD set.

I love the Simpsons and it's one of my all time favorite shows. I personally own this Seasons DVD and it is awesome! Some of my favorite shows are on this season and it's a must have for all Simpsons fans!

this show is one of those things that has its moments, even in the later episodes, there are the moments that make the show worthwhile but i believe this series is long overdue and has lost its appeal that made it special in the eariler shows. if you love the simpsons, buy the dvds, otherwise, just watch the reruns on networks television.

Simpsons season 6I bought this pretty much so I could replace the abysmal packaging of the original Simpsons Season 6 I own, and of course I was satisfied. It's great for those who don't like how the 6th season looks on their shelf. Also much better packaging design (And a nice feature which tells you which episodes are in the season on the back of the box, which for some reason other seasons neglect to tell you about).

Simpsons Season SixGreat season & box set-make sure to get the "boxed" version, not the "Homer" head one! Those special ediions are okay if you want one to display, but for practical use, get the regular boxed verisons!

simpsons season 6i bought this dvd about a month ago and it is great. the only thing i do not like about it is the fact that it is the homer head instead of the regular box. I am in the process of collecting every season and his head kind of sticks out amoung the rest of my seasons. But other then that its good

Product wasn't like the one seen on the pictureI sent a message about this problem and I never received an answer. My son is upset. The Simpsons DVD pack we received have a round shape and the one on the Ebay annonce was rectangular. We know that this seanson 6 have ever exist in the rectangular format. If we had know we would heve never bought this. I'm waiting an answer before to leave feedback.

Very funny DVDThis DVD is a good one, I am a fan of all the seasons of the Simpson's. I feel that it shows a real slice of what some families in the U.S. are like.
