Simply Irresistible (DVD, 2002, Full Frame and Widescreen Versions)

This has always been one of my favorite movies since it came out. It is slightly cheesy, but it is really a feel-good movie.

Great Movie!! Sweet Romance with surprising scenes and good cast. I would suggest watching this movie.

Total Chick flick, cheesy acting, mushy story. I try to cook like that. Maybe eclaires like that exist somewhere. If so, write me back.

The seller was honest when they said it wasn't new but in good shape. They sent in fast, and the movie was in good shape. I love simply irresistible and now i can watch it again and again.

I decided to buy the movie because I have seen it on tv and enjoyed it. It is a wonderful and relaxing show for the whole family to watch, without the violence and blood shed movies that is out there. I really like the movie.

Just as the title describes this movie truly is "Simply Irresistible" Gellar and Flanery do an amazing job of piecing together the old saying, (the way to a mans heart is through his stomach). In this case Amanda (Gellar) trys her hardest to make a "great" meal but in the end the Southern Cross is threatened to close, but with a little magic from a special creature she found her knack for cooking and the man of her dreams. This movie deserves an A++++

How to review a DVD? It is like new, in a case, with the original cover. Plays great. I love this movie, find it quite enchanting. Trying to keep up with progress, I am trying to replace favorite VHS tapes with DVDs. Very pleased to find most of them (at worst- gently used) on eBay!!! Great place to look for us oldsters. There are some great sellers on site.

Saw this movie on TV one day and decided that I has to have it on DVD. Is a good romantic (and kind of silly) movie.

I loved this movie from the first time that I saw it and have watched it numerous times since and still love it every time I watch. Amanda (played by Sarah Michelle Gellar) is an aspiring chef who was left a restaurant called the Southern Cross by her mother who has passed away. Amanda is not at all the cook that her mother was and she is losing the Southern Cross when on one of the last days she was to be open she met an unusual person in the marketplace, Gene O'Reilly,who talked her into buying a crab. This changed her whole life...she mets a rich young executive who is also at the market and he later finds himself magically at the Southern Cross on the same afternoon. That starts a whole new direction for her life.
The film has magic, music, love and fantasy all rolled into one great experience.
This is a a charming romantic fantasy starring Sarah Michelle Gellar and Sean Patrick Flanery with the help of the cupid like manipulating of Christopher Durang who plays Gene O'Reilly in the film.
All in all it is a cute movie that has been able to stand the test of a little time since it's release in 1999 and hopefully will be around a long time.

The movie is pure escapism. Forget your problems, relax and enjoy the show. Romantic? Yes. Funny? Yes. Fantasy? Plenty. Unbelievable? Of course. But what comedy/romance is?

I bought this movie because it's one of my all time favorits. I bought it off of ebay because of course it was cheaper than buying it in the store. Very happy with this purchase.

This movie was excellent. I know some have ripped it for being a cheesy flick, and I've heard that Sarah Michelle Gellar even regretted doing it, but I thought it was cute. A bit of a different idea for the story, and Sean Patrick Flanery is handsome, they make a great couple and have good chemistry. I would totally recommend it!

This was a fun movie to watch. It was nice to see the beautiful Sarah Michelle in a light film rather than horror. It is also almost free from foul language. Good for a relaxing Friday night

A shame this movie didnt get the appreciation it should have. Its got a love story, magic, beautiful scenery, a great all around story, wonderful actors and its light and fun. Dont pass this one up. Its well worth your time and money to see. 10 out of 10

This is a must see movie...it has everything! Romance, humor, love, and magick all rolled up in one excellent movie. Sarah Michelle Gellar is the perfect person to play this part...from vampire chaser to chef...she is wonderful! Perfect for a night in cuddling with someone special or just because you feel in the mood!
