Simple Abundance by Sarah Ban Breathnach (2006, Hardcover, Anniversary)

My wife said that she wished this book had been available when she was 20 years of age. Since buying this book from a fellow eBayer, she has purchased all of Breathnach's books. She says that this book is: "For all women who believe that there is more to life, believe that they are here on earth for a larger purpose, or want to find their purpose or passion in life. For women who's children have grown and left and nest like mine, and now want to redefine who they are - this book will help you discover all these things thread by thread, day by day. This is a great daily reading book. It isn't too much to read, but what it says is very positive, uplifting and fun. I actually bought a second one just because my first one is in storage and I missed it so much. I also bought two more as Christmas gifts for my friends.

I highly recommend this book for busy women and women who do not spend enough time nurturing themselves, which covers most of us!

I have had this book for several years and absolutely love it! Many of the passages I read over and over and bookmarked to refer to later. Sarah shows you how to dig deep and find your best life and live it. She inspires you to not waste another minute and start working on the life you were born to live. Great read! I have since bought many copies to give to friends as gifts.

This was a very meaningful book to me. It was a great read! I read it the first time for content and pure enjoyment and now am re-reading it a second time with the purpose of applying the six principles to my personal life. I highly recommend this book. Even though it is written primarily for women, there is a lot of good stuff in it for men, too. It is ranked as one of the top ten books of the 1990's, so do read it!!! Hope you love it as much as I did. I have read three more books by the same author since first reading "Simple Abundance".

I have owned this treasure of a book for many years now. With pages of thoughtful insights and reflections, the author encourages us to take time to nurture our body. minds and souls. In our fast-paced world where everyone is stretched and stressed to the limit, the pages within this book provide a welcome retreat. I would recommend this to anyone who longs to slow down but doesn't quite know how.

This book has changed my life more than any other book I've read. It isn't even necessary to read each daily entry: you can miss a day, week, month or two, but when you crack open this incredible work to whatever day you're living, it either completely applies or deeply inspires or breathes life into your worn soul. Her inspiring quotes, honest divulgences, witty asides and thoughtful writing is an amazing gift from Spirit to us all through her.
I recommend this book to every woman I know. I pass it on in the same tradition that I received it to my girlfriends and other women I meet that I believe will be able to receive as much as I have from this book. A simple, supportive and inspiring work.

Wonderful book of inspirations! And how to get the most out of your life. Teaches you to appreciate everything around you and to take action in all areas of your life.

I was given this book 7 years ago and it has truly helped me get through some of the hardest and darkest times in my life, by showing me how to nurture and nourish myself. Now I keep a couple of extra copies around to pass on to others. Its a wonderful book.

I got this book a few years ago - and well, I am just not as happy with it as Oprah was! It was not at all what I had hoped for, however, others of you may disagree. Some of her ideas are kind of "out" there for the life style I lead. Oh well - prehaps I will find another book that works out better for daily devotional reading.

My wife bought this book at a yard sale a few years ago and she loved it so much that she purchased four more off of eBay to give to other members of the family.
I don't enjoy reading as much as my wife and don't do much reading at all so when my wife finds a book that she loves so much she will read parts of it to me.Everything she has ever read to me out of this book is really inspiring and I think if we could learn to live by what this book has to say that we would all be better people.
I think a lot of men could learn from this book also and it would help them live a better life and deal with some of the everyday problems that we all go through. This book is really good for the soul and I highly recommend it for everyone.

This book was written for all women! AN EXCELLENT BOOK! I knew I needed to read this book after merely reading the first page of the foreward at the beginning of the book. IT'S AMAZING! I can't imagine anyone would be disappointed if they read and apply the wisdom on these pages!

I have a few of this type of "daily reading" book which foucuses on the positive. It's good if you've never owned one. But if you have nothing new

perfect condition, great price. I decided to buy this book to remember that amidst the stresses of life we should remember the day to day blesssings that are just as present as all of the little negative things that we never tend to forget....it is a shift in thinking and perspective.

I first saw this book at the local library. I have since bought seven of them - one for me and one for all close female friends and family. It is a collection of 365 daily bits of ecumenical spiritual encouragement - one for each day of the year. But it is a great book just to browse or read as much or as little of as you feel like for one sitting. If you want to start your day on a spiritual note this is a painless way. This version is aimed at women but there is also an edition for men. You can get copies on eBay for as little as under a dollar.

great devotion....every women should read this! I would buy this book for all of my friends. It was in great condition....so it worked great for a gift.

I love this book. I have it in hard and soft cover. I buy it for my girlfriends who need alittle boost in life.

It is one of the most inspirational books I have read. A daily dose of inspiration, encouragement and insight into all aspects of a person's life. With the world in so much chaos these days it is nice to read something that gives me hope and helps me to see that happiness can be achieved through simple measures, and not from material ones.

The book is everything I had hoped it would be. I plan to someday buy more for my friends. Thank you!

Simple Abundance was recommended by a friend. It has made me more aware of how fortunate I am. I have developed a sense of gratitude for very simiple everyday things I previously took for granted-i.e. almost spilling my milk but the glass stays upright or actually having an umbrella in my car when it starts to rain. This book has had such an impact on my outlook on life that I have given copies to friends as gifts and they love it as much as I do.

This book was bought to give my friends for Christmas. It is truly a great book for helping women and even men I would think, for changing their lives and learning to love themselves. Loved it for me. Keep it by my bedside.

This is a wonderful book, and I bought my first copy at a book store. I wanted to buy another for a friend and found a new book in excellent condition on ebay and could not find a cheaper price any where else.

Easy read!!! Very inspirational, awesome book!!!!! I would highly recommend this book!!! It is a life changing book. Very comforting...even for a pack rat like myself. I look forward to reading it every morning and am buying extras for my friends that haven't read it.
