SimCity: Its something to do.

First off, this is SimCity. Its just a more elaborate form of the original one. We all know what SimCity is, right?
O.k., for the three of you out there who don't know, SimCity is a city planning simulator and probably (barring the rising sun of the "The Sims: Why ruin your own life when you can ruin someone else's?" game) the most famous and well known game in the Sim series.
SimCity DS is basically a port of the PC game SimCity 3000, and while 3000 isn't the most recent one (SimCity 4 and SimCity Societies both came afterwards) it was the one that could best be applied to the Nintendo DS's capabilities. An it is a really good port. Some of the more complicated aspects are lost, but overall Its the SimCity we know and love.
The difficulties have been toned down a bit, which is nice because in the original Easy=Hard, Medium=Really Hard and Hard=DEATH. The only main complaint I have is the loss of the Ordinance system, Times when Isolated Trees 30 miles from your city suddenly spontaneously Combust and your adviser screams at you to build a road out there so fire trucks can get to it, and when residents barge into your office to scream at you despite the fact that you've built like 15 hospitals and there's no demand for commercial Zones.
These cons however in no way take away from the gameplay and I'm having a lot of fun. I'd rather be playing 3000 for the computer, but I feel just fine playing this.
