Great book.

There are so many recipes in this book, you could literally cook a different one every night and not eat the same thing for a few years. All of the recipes are very simple in the sense that the ingredients list is about 5 items long on average as opposed to an indian food cookbook where you have to go find 15 ingredients to make a meal. Everything I have made so far has come out wonderful. Now the disclaimer: This is a true italian cookbook. Tomatoes were not widely introduced into italy until the late 18th early 19th century from mexico. So there are very few recipes with tomato sauces, manicotti, lasagna, ravioli and the like. These are old style italian dishes. There are recipes for everything edible. I have never cooked goose, capon, rabbit, or pheasant before and woudn't know where to start. This book has it all. It was translated from italian to english a few years back thankfully. Apparently this is THE gift to give at a wedding in Italy. I highly reccommend it.
