  Risky, but worth the work.

The sound of this disc certainly has Pendulum written all over it, but they have very much broken away from the group I first couldn't get enough of (read: Voyager, Another Planet). This dosc was a bold move, but is definately worth a good listen. A lot of the songs have a very similar sound and feel to them - I don't want to say the disc is repetitive, as that is too harsh, but the boys could have painted with a wider brush.
I love that Pendulum 8-bit(ish) sound, and if they ever make a Megaman movie, this disc would be my recomendation for a soundtrack.

This album was average. They hooked me with the song "Propane Nightmares" and i went out like a fool and bought the whole album. The rest is take it or leave it.

Cold Play meets Drum & Bass with Rock incredible!!!

Pendulum is like no other band on the planet. The Australian Group 1st stepped on the scene with a few vinyls.Another Plant, God I don't have my vinyls on me,& other wicked tracks no one has every heard before.
There music is 1 of a kind that is hard in this age of technology.
With vocals that chill your soul, electric guitar, drums, & synthesized.
1 track is a remake of Metallica " obey your master "
propane nightmares on their official myspace page has had over 1 million plays
No electronic, dance, drum & bass act has grown & seen such a global impact this quick. As a true fan of Drum & Bass since the early days of jungle.
I'm about to drive maybe 16 hours to just see them in Miami this year at the world music conference, if I don't get there they will be in Atlanta 2 days before.
I don't go to festivals or clubs much anymore as an old school raver.
Pendulum draws you and moves you like no other sound I have ever heard.
I have send them all Rabbit in the Moon, Craze, Roni Size,Orbital, Ming & FS, & the list goes on.
There is nothing like Pendulum & you don't get the CD your robbing yourself of pure raw emotion that takes you mind , body, & soul to places that you never thought it could go. It is like Tool & Rage to me.
They will go down in history & what is scary they are just starting.
If it helped at all hit yes for me
Thanks,
onemixer

  Pendulum - In Silico
Review created: 01/26/09

What a breakthrough!

"Hold Your Colour" was just a taste of where they were going, and now "In Silico" hits with a clear message about the future of great music. An ultimate hybrid of electronica with the foundations of amazing song structure and musical theory reminiscent of the pre-pop era of rock.

Each song is just full of flavour and integrity. In the club, the car, or at home, there is just so much depth to their music. I am blown away, I was waiting for the music industry to create something like this again. I havn't felt this good about music since the 90's where Underworld and Alice and Chains could share the same CD tray in my stereo.

Not a skeet target, yet it could have been better!

I saw the group on one of the late night shows. They appeared to be quite interesting. After a half a dozen plays or so I liked it a bit less. I guess I'll keep playing it, maybe I'll like it better.

I really love it, not the beats of the original version of Pendulum, but an amazing fusion of electronic-rock....makes me wanna dance and jump at the same time.

  One of a kind

I have never heard anything comparible to their sound. It is various and seems to fit the soundtrack to life. I have the other CD "Hold Your Color" and that CD has a different sound as well. There seems to be a theme with each of their CDs. No matter what their music can get me going, especially at work, it makes me faster and I concentrate more listening to that in the background.
