Silent Hill: Homecoming (Xbox 360, 2008)

The game is REALLY dark. I guess I should of know that, but it's a little over the top for me. You hard core gore fans would love it though...

I am so glad I could fine this game at very cheap price at great and dependable servous. My grandkids love me for that. Thanks for making me a popular grandma.

If you're a fan of the Silent Hill series, you'll enjoy this installment. Although not the best of the series (2nd one still is), you'll have a good time with this. Go to YouTube for vids if you're still aren't sure.

Good suspense game it leaves you at the edge of your seat. I just wish there was more action in the game but other than that it's a pretty good game not bad at all.

good creepy game. its got a good story and crazy spooky levels and even spookier monsters. graphics are great gameplay is also great. clearly the best silent hill made.

Fast paced game but not too fast. I enjoy the combat an the updated creature with that movie feel as well. Haven't even come close to finishing yet but I know I will play it again and again if for nothing else..the alternate endings.
Great fun for nowhere near the whole family. Be careful and don't make too much noise....

Nice game like the rest of the series. Not has good has the 1st one but not so bad. The soundtrack and the history goes well togheter, that's the success of the series.

I purchased this game becuase i have silent hill origens, a much better game, and wanted another silent hill game, but this one has set weapons you can get and have to get to win, but in the other you could collect just about eny random item as a weapon, also the story is confuseing and hard to follow, and the ending is just such a terible ending it is not even right, they fail at ending this game, also the boss fights sometimes turnd out to be easy compared to just random fights that you had to go threw in the game, i would NOT recommend you buy this game, only a true silent hill fan will even find this game sufferable to get some more of the story from it. The graphics are kind of average for the xbox 360 and the camera angles will make you want to rip hair out of your scalp from frustration. I can not stress enuff that the ending of this game is so terrible, it will make you feel like you wasted all your time on this game for nothing, save some time and cash, do not buy this game.

Even though this title is the first in the series developed here in America, they still did and amazing job! I love the main character and his personality, and his reactions to things happening. Its not as psychological as the others, but the new fight system and boss fights make up for that. My only gripe about the game at all, is Alex's little brother... I feel that they did a really crappy job modeling him, especially since you see him throughout the game... But other than that, if your a fan of the series, you WILL enjoy it! And even if your not, prepare to change your mind!

Amazing game. Exactly what I expected when compared to the other Silent Hill games. Very intense and extremely creepy from the start.

make sure you have a blanket and some protection, cause this game is creepy and sooo scary, I love these games, they do exactly what they're supposed to, which is scare the bejesus out of ya, great gameplay, these titles have come a long way and I can't wait for the next installment to hit the shelves.

I was very excited about buying this game! I knew of the Silent Hill title and come to love it. I bought the game and at first I was like "OKAY I AM READY!" .... but then... as it kept draggin on I noticed something weird.. the story sounded so familiar and from the start I already knew where the story was heading.

The story was weak from the start and wasn't addictive like previous Silent Hill titles. The story seemed like a repeat of Silent Hill 2, but a cheap version.

The enemies in the game are annoying and are not fun to kill! There are very limited ammunition in the game, but that is okay because I was able to beat the game with a knife alone. Its very easy to beat the game with a knife if done right. A flashlight "off" will save you for sure in this game, but problem with that is its really dark in the game and you can't see a darn thing without it on!!!!

The enemies in the old games had a meaning and a symbol or manifestation of
the characters emotions and thoughts. Such as the Romper in Silent hill 1 which was a manifestation of Alessa's fear of adults. The Air Screamer which came from one of Alessa's favorite books. Stuff like this always told you about the character and what was going on around them. But in Silent Hill Homecoming they removed this and the monsters are just there to be cool.

The monsters are unique to the characters and their emotions so how is the pyramid head guy in part 2 and in homecoming? IN homecoming he was there just for show and had no real meaning which ruined a big part of the game for me.

Silent hill Homecoming had a lot from the movie Silent hill such as monster design with the nurses and pyramid head. The shift between worlds was just like in the movie which makes me really sad.

The game wasn't scary to me and the feel of the game was way off from the other silent hill titles. I felt that this game should have had a new name instead of it being another silent hill title. The music didn't help the game which we all know in previous titles the music was one of the best things in the game. I felt that the music didn't live up to the old titles and didn't help this game become scary.

In silent hill homecoming the main character was supposedly had just come out of the army and so he has combat skills. These combat skills ruin the game and make the game feel more action then sneaky and scary. In previous Silent hill games the lack of combat skills and poor accuracy make the game scary and even make the player panic because of the poor accuracy and combat skills.

My final advice is if you played previous Silent Hill games then don't pick up this one because you will be VERY DISSAPOINTED AND UPSET!!! if you are new to silent hill and buy this version then you won't notice any change or difference, but my advice is to go play silent hill 1-3 even 4 is better then this one ~ in the scary department.

I love the old Silent Hill games. When this one came out I thought I'd give it a go. I played it for 5 minutes and it scared the crap out of me. I love it because this game scares me more than any movie. I can't put it down. It's so much fun. Great graphics. The controls are better than the previous ones.

Well for starters I played the whole Devil May Cry series , so I can really say that Devil May Cry 4 its the best game out of this franchise .The game is very challenging and took me more than 100 hours to complete all the achieviments. You start playing has Nero fighting a experienced Dante in a church cenario, its like the game is saying "You wanna play with me then train with this beginner first!" , a must have for action fans.

Silent Hill homecoming was a mistery from the star , it came from a new developer company (Double Helix) and after the awfull sequence (Silent Hill 4: The Room ) I became quite desapointed with this series. However I was pretty satisfied to see that this title was put in good hands , its very well made , scary looking and it makes good use of the hardware of the next generation consoles. The history is entangling and the monsters came from the worst nightmares I could ever had. A must have for horror fans ( and one more thing dont trust online reviews of this game , play it and you surely gonna see what im talking about ).

Best atmosphere ever, great story, thrilling puzzles, this is a masterpiece. Some good horror that will creep you out. best played in the dark. resident evil is like mario bros compared to this one.

I knew this game would be intense and insane. It is great game to scare you and a great story line. It may be hard to figure out at first but you have to be willing to be patient to get far into this game.

This installement of the silent hill series is probably the best because it has more of that feel you got playing the first one, only the graphics are good too. I also like how they introduced an interactive choice system that allows you to decide the ending you'l get based on choices you make throughout the game.It sports a few new and disturbing creatures as well as resurecting a couple of everyones favorites. overall I think its an awesome game and one of the best silent hill games there are.
