I really liked this film. It’s a bit slow in the beginning but if you stick with it, the reward is the rest of the movie. The director and author of "Signs", M. Night Shayamalan (who also directed "The Sixth Sense" ) is a great storyteller and has a gift for letting us know as little as possible about what is going on until he must let us in on what’s going on in the films he makes, this one included all the while the suspense builds. He latches on to the archetypal fears we have and uses them adeptly.
He gives us a glimpse, but its not until the climax of the movie that we see with both eyes open and understand what he is telling us.
It stars Mel Gibson as the main character, “a man of faith” who has lost his faith, Joaquin Phoenix as his steadfast brother and Rory Culkin and Abigail Breslin as Mel Gibsons' characters children, and M. Night Shayamalan as the towns’ Vet. It is a gripping and uniquely tightly packed story with more than what is seen but also a tale of relationships and the human psyche.

It is very rare that I am genuinely spooked by a film. This film was made close to where I live...that was the first attraction for me. It is a great performance by Mel Gibson....of course the ending is great. Great sound editing and production all around. Like I said this movie actually made me jump a little....have not done that since "Alien"....I highly recommend this film....

I have watched this movie about 5 times. And I normally don't do that. Mel Gibson and Joaquin Phoenix lead the cast in this outstanding story and keep the suspense moving all the way through. The ending is a nail biter and what an ending it is. Buy this one and see. One of my favorite movies.

I as a real horror fan and a super-collector,I´m little bit disappointed on this movie! Great actors and a super director can do better than this! If´s not was for the great actor Mel Gibson and the Great Director had this movie been a real B-movie. Movie beginning as a real great movie but you longer the movie proceed you more boring it will be! Only a few surprises and seconds of tens wich do, I will give this movie Average instead for Below that!!!´

Well, we had this movie in our collection but was lost in a house fire. The originality and creativity, as well as the suspense, is what has us drawn to this movie. Mel Gibson and Joaquin Phoenix deliver action as well as drama to their roles. We saw this movie in the theatres first, and got it on DVD the day was released, and movies this good at telling a story and keeping you on the edge of your seat are far in between. This is a must have!!!

Signs - Another movie about an alien invasion. The only difference is that in this one the build up is so good that you find yourself getting caught up in it. You'll like this movie, give it a try.

This is a great suspensful filled movie with twists and turns. The director leaves you on the edge of your seat alot and he uses Mel Gibsons character as a driving backbone to this technique. This is an amazing film and great for watching on a warm summer night. Movie highly recomended :)

I don't like gruesome gore but I like to be in suspense. This movie does it. How often do you jump when three family members are sitting on the side of a bed in the sunshine and the telephone rings? I literally jumped out of my seat plenty of times throughout the movie. Brilliantly done.

This is definitely one of my favorite movies. I notice something different every time that I watch it. Joaquin Phoenix and Mel Gibson give great performances in this film.
It starts out a bit slow, but if you stay with it and pay attention you'll definitely get into it. It picks up really nicely.
If you enjoy alien films, or if you're a fan of suspenseful movies then you'll love this.

Signs is one of those movies you have to see over and over to enjoy what the director is trying to get across. The first time I saw it I was not impressed, but after seeing it again I liked it a lot. It was better to see at home. MNS does strange things with his films. He goes from one thing to another but in the end you finally get what he is trying to get across. Its not about aliens although that part was really great. This movie was mostly about a familys love and how they kept it together when tragedy struck. Very good film.

My husband and I love to watch a good movie in the evenings. With the price of fuel these days, we don't go out much anymore or do any traveling. We live over 35 miles from the closest town so, popcorn and a movie is our time together and our entertainment after chores are done and animals are fed. With Ebay, it's great to buy movies; I can get them cheaper than in the stores, there is no driving and it is delivered right to my door! I love it!

THE MOVIE WAS ENJOYABLE. THE CONCEPT IS A GOOD ONE. I CAN'T IMAGINE WHAT I'D REALLY THINK IF SPACE CREATURES WERE TO EXIST. I CAN'T COMPREHEND GOD CREATING US IN HIS IMAGE, AND THEN CREATING MONSTROUS BEINGS TO OVERTAKE US. THESE WOULD HACE TO BE DEMONS. GREAT HALLOWEEN SCARE FOR THE KIDS.

As usual this is another of M. Night Shayamalan's great movies. He went off on a tangent here and went to the crop circles line of thought, but still kept the movie going with thrill, fear and constant surprise. The actors in this movie all do a great job keeping their character low key, and there were a few big name actors here. And, as always, the clincher hits near the end and you never expect it.

Family farm life ?I am a huge Shyamalan fan: I loved "The Sixth Sense" and "Unbreakable." I can now add "Signs" to the list, and not just because it's one of his films. It's because it portrays its story and characters in a way that won't let me forget them. This particular film has all of the essential elements: humor, adventure, suspense and most of all, soul. The family element (as in all three of the above mentioned films) is so strong it made me want to hug my kids and get on my knees and talk to God. It rekindled my faith in God, family, mankind and in good films. Awesome.

SignsOne of Mel Gibson's best. Very colorful in story. Another alien story movie; but, this time the aliens are very harmful, or possibly harmful. Alot of love for family is shown in this movie. The way the director puts himself into the movie is fun, too. So tender when Mel holds his sick son and 'talks to God' about it.
