Signing Naturally by Cheri Smith (1993, Revised, Package)

The book's pictures are not clear. You really need to watch the DVD to get an idea on the hand gestures depicted in the book. Because of the new technology, I prefer the DVD. It is a god text for a begining ASL learner.

I was greatly disappointed with the condition of this book. According to your view of the condition of the book it was in "excellent" condtition. However, when I received the book it was far from excellent. There are obvious signs of a liquid of some sort spilled on the book and excessive folds/bending of the book cover and pages, that could not have been caused by shipping. It would be nice if someone was brave enough to actually tell the truth about things.

There was more writing in the book then indicated. Also, the photo gives the impression that the book came with a tape. There were also two pages missing from chapter two.

I loved the quality and price of this book! I will use book with my sign students and they paid higher prices for the same book. As an instructor I wish they would update the politically correct signs for countries and nationalities.

I liked that is arrived in a very timely manner. I was disappointed to see so much writing in the book. I do not recall that being on the original description of the product.

I was required to purchase this book for school. The book is fine, my class is better! I have only been through the first few units so I can not give it a excellent review, but you need to have the DVD or video in order for the workbook to be worth while.

I really like the signing naturally book becuase it is a good book to learn ASL from. I also like the signing naturally program because you can get a video to do your work book with.

I ordered this book for my Sign Language class and was really depending on it to arrive in time. Instead, about the time it was supposed to arrive I got an email that said there was a mistake and it was out of stock. It would have been noce to know that when I actually purchased the book a week before.

Very often, you could use a book and video for self-learning, but this is not the right set to do it with. It's hard to understand the material in the book, and there's no way you can use the video without the help of an instructor or some knowledge of sign language. It may be good for a college class, but definitely not for someone who wants to learn sign language on their own.

This set is awesome, I used it in my 3 levels of ASL for high school, and now I am getting another set for college because I want to get my interpreter certification and teaching degree for Deaf Culture and American Sign Language for the Deaf. I just want to let you know if you are looking for the best deals, you better get on EBAY because at the schools it costs anywhere from $40-$60 for the sets at the school I am getting ready to attend next month. Mainly, because I need it and I saw the product very well presented.
I like what he had to offer and I took it. He did or handled it very well throughly. He did everything just so. He responded me and my needs very well.

I wanted to purchase this because I needed the book to go with my tape,, so I was bidding on this as a set as stated and I only recieved the tape... What a way to miss lead someone in need.. Never again will I purchase from this area of ebay.. Very misleading and not what I paid for... I could of picked up the tape at the thrift store for 1.50 but no I paid 12.00 for the stupid thing.. so I would make sure what people have up for bid is what they are selling.

The book was required to take the class at the college. The book is difficult to understand, since there are no explanations of signs in either the book itself or the video that accompanies it.

Book had minor pencil writting in it that was easy to erase and tape case was broken but still playable. Good enough for what I need it for.

Easy to understand.. great for an ASL beginner! The tape really makes it easy to understand. I have enjoyed this book so far and will continue to enjoy it!
