"DaVinci Code" without the "preaching"; it doesn't try to pose as a revelation of fact, though the author achieves his desired result of a reather seamless blend of fact and fiction, and it doesn't, unline "DaVinci", pretend to be more than a good novel. The writing is a little clumsy at times, but mostly well-done; it's enjoyable, and you get the sense the author enjoyed writing it. Good plot, good action, good charactger development. It's a good, fun, read; if you liked "DaVince Code", you'll probably like this; if "DaVinci Code" annoyed you, for reasons of theology and/or historical or theological inaccuracy -- you'll still like this! If the theological implications bother you in the middle, read on; the author works it out nicely. I liked it well enough to look for his previous book on ebay! Enjoy it!
