| Product Description Sigma's 70-300mm f4-5.6 DL Macro Super II is one of several new tele zoom lenses. It is a compact Tele-Macro Zoom lens, capable of focusing down to 1:2 (half life-size) reproduction ratio at 300mm focal length, with superb optical quality. A detachable bayonet hood is provided. The lens materials used in this new product are lead and arsenic free ecological glass, including one Special Low Dispersion (SLD) glass element. Made in Japan. Available for Canon, Minolta, NIkon and Pentax mounts.

Macro mode is excellent for detailed close up work. The only thing I was slightly annoyed by was the auto focus. I'm use to the Canon Ultrasonic Lenses and how quiet they are. If you plan on using this for a covert operation, this is not the lens for you. Over all, for the price, a great lens for one who is just starting out. When you go to take photo in the mountain or other dificult way this lens can help you.It is not a very sharp lens but sometime it is not the more important.
