Siemens SL56 (AT&T)

I recently purchased this phone new off of eBay. I knew that it was a popular phone in Europe (SL55) and I wanted to try out a slider. Pros: compact and stylish. Decent reception and easy to hear caller. Cons: Short battery life, easy to crack face, somewhat complicated menu functions (hard to find what you're looking for). Definetly have a manual with this one. Lets just say that I would own another one if this broke.
UPDATE: I had this phone for about three months and it started falling apart. I basically had to replace all of the parts on it one by one before I finally gave up on it. I hated this phone by the end of it all. I would avoid buying it.

First off, this is a great phone, with one of the most beautiful designs I have ever seen, only matched by those of a Motorola V70 or the now common RAZR. If I were writing this review in 2003, when the phone first launched, I would give it a 5/5, but I am not. It is 2006 near 2007 and the design of this phone is not enough to hold it up agaisnt the features of today's phones. It doesn't have a camera, Bluetooth, or a music player, not that I would ever use those things anyway. And since I don't use those features this is a great phone for me rivaling even the new LG Chocolate and RAZR over me. Since I wouldn't use any of those fancy features of the Chocolate and RAZR and I like the smaller slick design better I bought it. But don't get this phone wrong, it has the features you would expect in any regular phone, speakerphone, web browser, calender, alarm clock, large phonebook (with multiple number entires), games, and an addictive swhooshing noise when you open and close this phone. To sum it up, if you are all about design and can live without a camera or Bluetooth this is the phone for you.
