Pirates and Ninja's hereditary enemies

I bought this game because of a similar title I bought in the 80's for the Commodore 64/128. In this game as well as the one from the 80's you take the role of a pirate captain with the goals of amassing wealth, prestige, finding lost family members and last but not least tracking down the villain resposible for you and your families woes. This game is quite fun to play but you must act quickly or you will become too old and ill to complete it, as your character ages as the game progresses. This game is very challenging at the rogue captain level as you cannot just beat everyone silly in the sword fights, your opponents actually have some skill at this level. To win your bride to be you must become proficient at hitting the correct buttons in time to the music during the ballroom dance sequences. The ship to ship combat is pretty basic, get in a couple of good broadsides with the right ammo and the ship is yours. Henry Morgan's "Queen Ann's Revenge" is about the best warship you can capture and not upgrade, its a large frigate class. Only real tic I had with this game was the amount of time that burns up when you have to sail against the wind, because in this game time is your biggest enemy. it affects your crew morale, your health and speed in a swordfight, and your ability to catch the evil Count who holds the info to find your family. Overall, this is a good game and will keep you entertained for days.
