Sid Meier's Pirates!: Live the Life (PC Games, 2004)

This is my first time playing a game like this one. I am addicted! I got it in late February 2006. It's been at least 20 yrs since I have been addicted to a game. In Sid Meier's Pirates, you get to sail a ship, visit ports, find treasures, woo several mayors' daughters, battle Indians, Spanish, English, Dutch, etc. You can choose to keep their ship or sink it! The only thing that bugs me is the wind always blows West. You have to calculate where you're going time-wise, and where you start to battle another ship. The wind can make it harder. In ports, you can buy food and goods for you and your crew, upgrade your ship with different items, and chat with locals. You can even re-name your ship if you like. Pay attention to everything everyone tells you in the story, it comes in handy sooner than you think! So much fun! You've gotta try it! Have fun! ~Phyllis in SC
