Shutter Island by Dennis Lehane (2004, Paperback, Reprint)

I never received this book. I would still like to haved it delived even though it's been over a month.

This was a great book. It came in great condition. I would suggest this novel to anyone who enjoyed Mystic River, A Drink Before the War, or Gone Baby Gone.

Here is a page turner that you can't put down, but don't want to end. I bought the book because they are making a movie at present (which I don't know if I can go see after reading the book!), and was able to get it WITH SHIPPING on Half.com for less than if I spent the time and money to go to the bookstore for it. Seller was very prompt in shipping and the book was in very good shape. I would recommend it to fans of psychological suspense thrillers.

I decided to buy this after I "read" the audiobook I checked out from the Library. First of all, I liked it but most importantly I thought my spouse would like it too. The price was right and available at the right time so I bought it!

A wonderful and spooky tale that will make you wonder right up until the last page! Here is a book made for a rainy weekend, but if you find yourself cursed by sunshine and blue skies, close the drapes, shut off the phone and pretend it is a dark and stormy night. You won't find any of the tired old tricks we have come to associate with so much of today's "thriller" genre...instead, Shutter Island by Dennis Lehane is a sharp gasp of fresh air. Smart, and well though out, the story takes place one plot twist after another.
I chose this book on the recommendation of my son, who told me it would make me think. He was right and you will be as well by adding Shutter Island to your reading list-hodge76470
