Shure Beta-98DS Professional Microphone

I've used these mics forever on drums. They have great isolation and you won't find another mic that can mount easily to just about any rim out there as the Beta 98. The adjustable rim clamp is well thought out. It's a splendid system and saves you the mess and hassle of using three stands on the toms if you use three of these. The look is much cleaner as well. They are best for live. In the studio I prefer 421s on toms but these will work just fine in the studio as well, especially if you don't like the 421s because of their poor isolation factor.
