Short Circuit 2 (DVD, 2001)

My 9 year old grandson had never heard of Johnny 5. He loved it as much as we did when it first came out. I bought Short Circuit, too, and we watched that one first. Total humorous entertainment!

Why can't sequels today be as good as back in these days? This awesome sequel picks up a little while after the original ends. Full of laughs and fun. Definitely one of the best sequels of the 80's/90's!

I don't know how rottentomatoes.com collective reviews give Short Circuit a higher rating than its sequel. I truly believe this is one sequel that is better than the original!

Fisher Stevens was highly enjoyable as Ben Jahveri. An West Asian technological genius that computes his robot buddy Johnny 5. This movie has a good balance of comedy, concern, & romance. Sometimes weaved together in the same scene.

This is one of those movies where you don't have to know about the first part to enjoy the film. The storyline is not carved out of the original, with the exception of evolving Johnny 5's character. In the first movie, Johnny 5 couldn't speak English, or interact with his surrounding, well. This time around Johnny 5 is the whimsical counterpart to his human superior.. or is it the other way around?

All in all, a fun & friendly 80s comedy. 3.75 stars out of 5.

I love it and had to have because I have the first one. You should really buy both if you love family oriented movies with bits of action and plots that practically make you apart of the movie. Like you're really there! I love the first and second:)

We have the dvd Short Circuit and had rented Short Circuit 2.

Our granddaughter liked the movie so we decided to purchase it for her and our other grand children.

Excellent movie, except for the profanity in this "family" movie.

If it was made today, it would likely have gotten a PG-13 rating
for language.

I have not seen this movie in years, I believe I last saw it before I reached double digits in age. However the movie is still comical. The movie is basically the perspective of a person who is new to the world and doesn't know what anything does. Johnny 5 is a robot who was zapped by lightning in the first movie and the "bad people" lost control of him. Johnny's non-knowledge creates comical phrases and makes his life an adventure. However do to his robotic side he is able to learn very fast and do some really cool stuff with ordinary objects. This movie is great for all ages. As I said I watched this when I was little and loved it. SIDE NOTE: The first Short Circuit is better.

Childhood classic & still just as excellent as it was in the late 80's & even better without Steve Guttenberg!! If you dont love this movie then you dont love life plain & simple.. Also this is a movie review people this is not the feedback option use this to describe how you felt about the movie not your purchase & experience with the buyer geesh! Lol Adios & buy this movie!! 5 STARS!!

I decided to buy it because the price was iteressant. Unfortunately, I'v received it 3 weeks after the command so it's was too long. But the quality is perfect and I'm really happy!

Short Circuit 2 is a great movie. It's much better than the first Short Circuit, in my opinion. It's too bad a third Short Circuit wasn't made.

This was a great movie, good squel to first Short Circuit. Kids loved it!! Funny movie had alot of real funny parts. I would recommend buying this one and first movie for a evening movie event with family.

this movie is a follow-up to the original Short Circuit movie, but it stands alone without seeing the first one..it is a true family movie, with great fun and actions by the robot..you almost forget that he is a robot, for he feels he is HUMAN...Johnny 5, at heart, and will win your heart in return, a great addition to any family movie collection,and money well spent, baby-doll

I bought Short Circuit 2 (2001, DVD), the shipping was fast and it was packaged really good. It was a brand new so it was in excellent shade. I got it for someone for a Chirstmas present and it come way before it was needed. thanks a lot

This is a fun family movie. The family enjoyed this second movie in the series better than the first. Entertaining!!
