Shooter (HD DVD, 2007)

I have never been a big Mark Wahlberg fan. So when this movie came out in the theatres I ignored and forgot about it. I was watching our local cable movie channel last night and I was able to catch it. Boy was I impressed.

The movie follows Wahlberg's character Swagger who is a sniper in the US army. After a mission goes wrong Swagger decides to remove himself from the military and retire into the mountains.

It is here that he is recruited by a mysterious clandestine group of people lead by Colonel Isaac Johnson (Danny Glover's character). He is then thrust into a conspiracy where Swagger is accused of murdering VIA snipping of an Ethiopian Arch Bishop.

The movie has lots of great action, a very good plot, and a few nice twists to keep you interested.

This is a excellent movie I already had the movie on standard dvd but with the HD DVD you can tell a big difference in the clarity of the movie and the sound.

Action Packed!!! Better than Bourne Trilogy in my opinion. The ballistic information is correct and believeable. Scenes and special effects are awesome. I bought because this is one of the few movies you can watch over again and not be bored.

Very realistic film depicting snipers. Acting is superb and entertaining...The High Definition makes this film even more enjoyable to watch! Definately recommend.

I wanted to be sure I could see this movie whenever. The last part makes me wonder whether anything like this is currently happening in our gov't today.

The movie was a gift. The recipient loved the movie and wanted it for himself. Receiving this gift made him very happy. The price was right for the item.

I was sort of putting off seeing this movie cause mark wahlberg but sure glad I watched it. What a great movie with no dull moments. Must see for anyone that has not watched the movie yet.

the only thing I would of changed about this movie was Danny Glover. I don't not like the guy, he just didn't fit the role. Otherwise, the movie is awesome. I wish the dog didn't have to die though.

This was a really good movie. I rented it via Netflix. I like it so much that I decided to get a copy on eBay. Since I purchased an HD DVD player, the picture looks great.

I like the movie but, will be a allot better if it had Audio* "Dolby True HD" sound on Main Features. Shooter on HD-DVD itself, it is a bad ass movie.
