Shlomo's Stories by Shlomo Carlebach (1996, Paperback)

Rabbi Shlomo Carlebach was a true angel of a human being. The stories that he related throughout his journeys the world over brought many Jews to rediscover their lost heritage. While the written word is no subtitute for the songs Reb Shloimeleh spoke and sang, they do give some understanding and feeling to the person who never hear Reb Shloimeleh tell a story.
There are cassettes and CD's available of Reb Shlomo's stories and songs (I believe at least 5 cd's; and if they are not available here on Ebay they can be found in any Jewish book store) so the spirit still lives.
Highly recommended to read for yourself or give as a gift to any Jewish person you know. They will surely appreciate it, I know I did!
