Shirley Botsford's Daddy's Ties by Shirley Botsford (1994, Paperback)

The cover is so colorful & had many beautiful quilts, pillows, frames, toys & lamp shades displayed. The directions don't seem to be too difficult. The pictures on the inside are beautifully arranged; with the projects & complete directions. She even gives projects to use the left-over tie pieces. There are several scarfs, wraps, ornaments, purses, book covers, table runners, vests & etc. that would make great gifts, or be nice colorful keepsakes for the home. I am fairly new to quilting, and wanted to incorporate neckties into my projects. This book will be invaluable to me & the price seems to be in line with other nice quilt books.

This is a good book, however I am a rookie when it comes to quilting, so all of the abbreviations and Codes is a bit confusing. I'm glad I got the book for such an affordable price as several of the crafts in the book are just too odd for my taste. But.... art is in the eye of the beholder.

Have enjoyed looking at the book, haven't started anything yet. Came quickly and in wonderful shape.

My husbands grandfather passed away, and I got his ties. I wanted to make a quilt for Grandma, and everyone I talked to suggested this book. I do wish there were more quilt patterns, but there are several other craft patterns in this book as well, even if you're not a quilter. Great instructions on how to de-construct ties, and suggestions on where to find/purchase ties. You can tell that the book is older, but overall a good book to assist in making crafts out of Men's Ties.

I have been looking for this book for several years. I didn't think to look on e-bay until my younger daughter told me to check this site. The book was everything that I had wanted about using discarded ties. I will enjoy this book for years to come. It arrived promptly and in mint condition. I would buy from this seller anytime.

I have 100 ties that belonged to my brother-in-law. I wanted the book to make a quilt for his only son. They were very close. This book had just the pattern and information I needed. This will be a community project this winter and probably next winter.

I did not receive this book. This seller send a note saying an agreement beween the two of us to cancel thisorder. I didnot make an agreement of this type. And I wanted the book.
